Carl Edwards Returns Home

Lebanon,Mo.-With the assistance of Dennis Elmore's Quality Heating and Cooling in Lebanon,the I-44 Speedway is adding over $2,000 in extra prize money for this coming weekends July 3rd show.
The LateModel who normally run for 1,000 to win the 25 lap feature will be bumped up to 1200 to win this coming weekend with the payoff as follows

Track Promoter Randy mooneyham is excited about this weekends upcoming show as it is normally one of the tracks biggest draws.
"We are going to offer something for everyone-a special deal at 5PM honoring the areas Firecrews,Police and Sherriffs Dept.,Senator John T. Russell and Kit Bond on hand to speak,games for the kids in a special area,giveaways during the evening and prizes for different things."Also NASCAR Craftsman Truck SuperStar Carl Edwards of Columbia will be getting down here for a special Autograph session and will be racing a Modified that night after racing earlier in the day at the Kansas Speedway.Edwards,who is 2nd in the Series points standings and was the winner of the season opener in Daytona Beach got his name out and about after competing on a regular basis at the Speedway in the BabyGrand Division and has moved up the ladder.Two seasons ago,Edwards set a new track record in Qualifying but had to start 25th in the BabyGrands after missing the drivers meeting while in Milwaukee,Wisconsin that afternoon qualifying for a Truck Race.He charged through the pack and won the feature with only 3 laps to go that night.The autograph session is schedule for 5:30-6:30 PM.
"With the crowd that normally is there,we feel we stepped up the program with the extra money for the drivers in those classes.During the intermission we will provide one of the biggest Fireworks Displays in the History of the Speedway.
Gates Will open at 4PM with Hotlaps at 7 and Racing to begin at 7:30 sharp.Expect the fireworks around 9PM or so.
Expected drivers include 5 time track champion Ken "The Flying Farmer" Essary who will make his first I-44 Start this season,1 time winner Justin Wells,point leader Darrell Mooneyham,area drivers Brian Schutt,Danny Atkinson,Mike Montague and many many more.
The 5 classes set to run will be LateModels,Modifieds,SuperStocks,FactoryStocks, and Bombers.
