(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway welcomes the 95Q team and the 95Q Pit Party this Saturday, June 30, as part of a power-packed night of racing for all weekly UMP divisions with a special focus on the UMP Late Models and BARBECK Communications Modifieds in the Firecracker 40’s.

40-lap features for both the Late Models and Modifieds will highlight a full night of racing with all UMP divisions in attendance. Late Models will run their unique brand of full-fender, high-torque, chassis-twisting action chasing a first place take-home of $1500. BARBECK Communications Modifieds will add the thrilling, side by side, open-wheel action to the show, running down $600 for a first place finish.

If two high horsepower features were not enough, fans at Macon Speedway will be wowed with a giant fireworks display in honor of Independence Day on July 4.

Macon Speedway provides a thrilling combination of edge-of-your-seat racing action, fun and prizes, and wholesome family entertainment on a weekly basis. With 95Q and the Firecracker 40’s, Saturday, June 30 will be no exception. From the most seasoned race fan to the newest enthusiast, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Macon Speedway!

Gates open on June 30 at 5:00 PM with racing starting at 7:00. Adult grandstand admission is $15. Children 12 and under are free every Saturday night when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $25.

Weekly racing at Macon Speedway features five UMP sanctioned divisions: Late Model, Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock and Hornet. New for 2007 is the addition of the C.A.R.S. Late Models.

Mark your calendars:

July 5 is the Herald & Review 100 featuring UMP Late Models and UMP Modifieds. Late Models will race for $6000 to win. This event is part of the UMP Summernationals tour with a schedule of 28 races in 30 days. Admission is $20 at the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased for $18 at the Herald & Review offices in Decatur.

July 7 will be the third Kenny’s Crazy Car Caper giveaways with one lucky fan winning a previously-owned vehicle courtesy of Mt. Vernon I-64 Auto Auction.

July 14 will feature Fredbird of the St. Louis Cardinals plus the special Modified Wolfpack Challenge.

July 20 is Night of NASCAR Stars III at Macon Speedway featuring an appearance by NASCAR Star Tony Stewart plus others. Also featured on July 20 will be the Power-I Midgets. Reserve seats are on sale now by calling 217-764-3000 or 217-764-3200.

NASCAR Stars Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and local Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Macon Speedway in January of 2007.
