Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (July 3, 2007) – Set for the fourth leg of the ASCS Patriots King of Central New York "series-within-a-series" at Rolling Wheels Raceway in Elbridge, NY, on Tuesday night, Jason Barney holds the early points lead.
Hailing from Constantia, NY, Barney moved atop the ASCS Patriots King of CNY standings on the strength of his first series win this past Saturday night at Canandaigua Speedway aboard the HG-powered Walton's Farm & Auto/E-V Energy No. 87 Maxim.
While Barney sits in the driver's seat in the King of CNY series, which will divvy up $3,000 among the top ten drivers in the seven designated events, reigning series champion Chuck Hebing is just 14 points back after suffering a "DNF" at Canandaigua on Saturday night.
Jared Zimbardi, winner of two of the three most recent ASCS Patriot events, is just six more points back in third, with the brother duo of Blake and Bobby Breen rounding out the current top five.
