As you guys and gals know and if you have been reading on 4cycle.com about the Dyno CL1 cam it has been a huge battle going on between tech guys, promotors, engine builders and racers. I have been on the phone all day with different people getting views from all sides of this issue.
Here is the ruling we have made and we will stick with for the Clone series as well as bedrocks track rules and i havent talk to rodney but assuming will be at Rockbranch as well. We are going to allow the cl1 cam and as well other cams, however the cams must meet must meet present tech with burris rules as well as a new added duration checks to the cam profile, we will use AKRAs duration checks on the cam. Will be posted next week.
I know this is going to make some racers unhappy but i am trying to put the best series and kart counts i can, With AKRA goin with the cam rule and i know of others that are going to follow i must follow as well. I have been told that in some motors that this cam will not pass tech, if you put the cam in your motor you better tech it before you come to the track.
I have been on the phone all day with different people from engine builders to officials to track owners to racers and most have agreed that our ruling is in the best interest of the sport.
If anyone has any questions on this please feel free to call me or email me. As many of you know if you follow 4cycle.com this has been a huge debate. I was trying to see what was going to happen with this, but to be fair to you racers i needed to make a decision so you know what your rules will be.
Sorry for back and fourth on this but this decision is final

A couple of things to clarify and add
1. age requirements will be 14 and up on adult clone
2. adding Jr clones, .500 plate 13 and under 275 pds they will race under same entry fee and payout and same tire and tech rules.
3. Stock appearing you have to run a billet flywheel for saftey reasons
The HMR "Battle of the Clones" summer series will conclude on Oct. 9th at Bedrock raceway. With a non points race at Bedrocks 2nd annual Fall Nationals. Top six in points for the year in each division clones will run a Topdog dash race, Each class will also run for a bigger purse. Frank has assured me that there will be bigger purses in the flathead classes, Jr classes and the Outlaws as well.
