    Modified Sail panels

So we are going to build our sail panels tonite for our UMP mod. We have seen big sail panels that run the entire length from roof to the spoiler and here lately more and more guys running the short stubby ones simialar to the sail panels on the late models. SO the question to you guys is what are the plus/minus of each design and which do you think is better and why??? Any help or opinions would be a great help.

    Thanks,
    John

Personally.i dont know. Ive seen alot of radical ones out there now. All look cool. Personally......i like the long wide ones with a fake window in them. Look cool and gives it a personal touch. I think really....late models should be given some areas to personalize their cars more and make them less identical body wise to each other. Good thread..hope more respond to it

check out the december 2008 issue of speedway illistrated. page 54. dirt car aerodynamics. there is some good information in there. i would say if the sail panels end close to where the spoiler supports stop then it woul not effect the function of the spoiler.
