PADUCAH, Ky. — April 15, 2011 — For the second time this season, rain has forced World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series officials to postpone an event. Series and track officials conferred and mutually decided track conditions were not going to permit the running of Friday night’s scheduled event. Officials are working on a make-up date for the race.
Entering this weekend, Joey Saldana is leading the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship point standings with 20-time champion Steve Kinser only four markers back. Former champions Jason Meyers and Donny Schatz, along with the series’ most recent winner Jason Sides, round out the Top 5.
Weekly racing action at Paducah International Raceway continues next Friday evening with a full program of UMP Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinder Warriors, High School Warriors, and the Kentucky Vintage Cars.   Don’t forget Friday May 5th and Saturday May 6th We will have 2 huge nights of Late Model racing. Friday will be a UMP Late Model special paying $3000 to win and on Saturday May 6th the LUCAS Oil Late Model Series comes to town for a big $10000 to win Late Model Special.
