POWRiRacinboys Radio (www.racinboys.com) will broadcast live from the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series Presented by Speedway Motors at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo., on Friday (April 29) for Thunder in the Valley presented by Blue Springs Ford and Saturday (April 30) for the Mid-State Midget Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.

“This is a great addition to our already extensive lineup of events Racinboys Radio listeners will be able to enjoy,” said Racinboys’ Scott Traylor.  “The Lucas Oil POWRi Series is a great fit and we are working on more webcast opportunities as the year goes on.”

Traylor and partner Kirk Elliott will anchor this weekend’s coverage as longtime POWRi voice Jim Childers provides the call.  Scotty Cook will report from the pits and victory circle.  Racinboys.com has been the internet home of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals since 2006 and for the third straight season originates live from every Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series event.  Live racing on Racinboys Radio is sponsored by Lucas Oil Products and Travelwiser.com.

Racinboys.com’s broadcast begins at 7:30 CDT on both nights.

“This is another great opportunity to market our POWRi teams and drivers,” POWRi Executive Director Kenny Brown said. “This type of webcast coverage helps grass roots race teams obtain sponsors.  This is the Lucas Oil team work at its best.”

POWRi’s National Midgets are returning to Valley and Lucas Oil Speedways for the first time since 2008. Mike Hess, of Petersburg, Ill., won at Valley on May 16, 2008. Pit gates Open at 5 p.m., spectator gates open at 6 p.m. and hot laps start at 7:30 (CDT) at the 1/3-mile track.  Casey Shuman, of Tempe, Ariz., won at Lucas Oil on May 17, 2008. Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps begin at 7 and racing starts at 7:30 (CDT) at the 3/8-mile track on Saturday.

The Southern Open Wheel Series National Midgets will be joining POWRi for the first time at both venues.
