Comp Cams Super Dirt SeriesBatesville, Arkansas (05/09/11) –  After almost not even racing this past weekend, Billy Moyer Jr. made the last minute decision to enter a triple header with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) in his #21jr Henderson Motorsports/Car City/Imperial Motors/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Bullock Racing Engine Super Late Model, and it would prove to be a wise decision as he claimed two feature triumphs.

Billy took to the big 1/2 mile at Tri City Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Thursday night, May 5th for a $2,000 to win, 35 lap event. A large field of 38 Super Late Models signed in for action, and after winning the second heat race, Billy locked into the main event. In the feature he would race in the top five for the duration of the event before crossing the finish line in third behind race winner, Kelly Boen, and RC Whitwell.

Sometimes you just need a little luck to get you where you want to be, and for Billy Moyer Jr. on Friday night that luck came in the form of a late race caution as the top two cars tangled. Billy made the trip to Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) for a $2,000 to win, 25 lap COMP Cams Super Dirt Series event as 27 cars entered the program. Billy won his heat race to earn the third starting spot for the main event on the big, 1/2 mile oval. Billy would run around the fifth position for much of the event and looked to be on his way to a fifth place finish before leaders Kelly Boen and Dane Dacus tangled on lap 20. The pair would be done for the night, and would leave Moyer Jr. starting third on the restart behind Bill Frye and Kyle Beard. As the race went back green Moyer Jr. slipped past Beard and two laps later would use the low groove to pass Bill Frye for the lead. Billy would lead the last two laps to claim the win, which was his third of the year.

Another night and another feature win for Billy Moyer Jr. on Saturday night, May 6th but it would prove to be a win that was far from easy as he would have to wait until the final corner of the final lap to take the lead. The team was in action at Crawford County Speedway (Van Buren, Arkansas) in the final night of the weekend’s COMP Cams Super Dirt Series triple header as twenty-cars signed in for battle. Billy started the night by winning his heat race to earn the third starting spot for the 35 lap, $2,000 to win feature. Early in the event, he would pursue Kyle Beard and Dane Dacus before moving into the second spot by the race’s midway point. He would stalk Beard for the next several laps before using lapped traffic to his advantage late in the race to pull even with Beard as the leaders took the white flag. The pair would battle side-by-side for the final lap before Moyer Jr. used a strong run on the bottom exiting turn four to take the lead and the win!  Full results from the weekend are available at www.COMPDirt.com .
