19th Annual DART Show-Me 100 This Weekend

Wheatland, MO (May 23rd, 2011)- The 19th Annual DART Show-Me 100 Presented by Lucas Oil Products at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri kicks off this Thursday night May 26th as the top stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA invade the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for a chance at a cool $30,000 to win!

Scott Bloomquist out of Mooresburg, Tennessee leads the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series contingent by 140 points over The “Newport Nightmare” Jimmy Owens as Owens occupies the second spot in the standings. Martinsville, Indiana’s Don O’Neal rides in the third position in the championship points standings. Former Multi-Time Champion Earl Pearson Jr. out of Jacksonville, Florida driving the Bobby Labonte Motorsports Lucas Oil Sponsored Longhorn Chassis rides fourth in points with Ashland, Kentucky’s Steve Francis now up to fifth.

With a purse approaching $90,000, including $30,000 to the winner, and $1,200 just to start the event, all the top drivers will be in attendance including “Mr. Smooth” Billy Moyer, the “Batesville Bullet” Wendell Wallace, Youngster Tyler Reddick out of Corning, California driving a new Bloomquist Chassis, defending and 2-time Show-Me 100 Champion Ray Cook from Brasstown, North Carolina, the All-Time Lucas Oil MLRA Win Leader Terry Phillips out of Springfield, Missouri, Chris Wall, Jared Landers, Steve Casebolt, Brad Looney, John Anderson, Jimmy Mars, Dan Schlieper, and MLRA Champion Al Purkey plus many more.

A limited number of 2-Day Reserved tickets for the event are still available and can be ordered by calling the Lucas Oil Speedway office at (417) 282-5984 Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. The 2-Day Reserved front stretch seating is priced at $55 for the event. Single Day Reserved Seats are also available and are priced at $30 for Friday Night May 27th and $35 for Saturday, May 28th. DART Show-Me 100 weekend gets underway on Thursday, May 26th with the traditional open practice night and barbecue. The BBQ is FREE with your Pit Pass, all others are welcome to join for $10. Grandstand admission for Thursday night’s practice is FREE. Adult general admission for Friday night is $20 for Adults (16 and up), Seniors (62 and up) & Active Military are just $15, Youth (age 6-15) are just $10, and race fans 5 and under are free. Adult general admission for Saturday night is $25 for Adults (16 and up), Seniors (62 and up) & Active Military are $20, Youth (age 6-15) are just $10, and children 5 and under are free.

Friday night May 27th will get underway at 7:00 pm and will feature time trials and six heat races for the Super Late Models. The top three finishers in each heat race will move on to Saturday night’s main event. The balance of the field in each of the heats will move on to Super Late Model consolation events on Saturday night. The Ohlins Shocks Manufacturers Dash for Cash and the ApplianceZone.com Race of Champions is scheduled to take place during the Friday night portion of the show in 2011.

The Pitt’s Homes A-Modifieds will be featured as the support class running a complete show on Friday night with $500 going to the winner. The Pitt’s Homes A-Modifieds will also hold a qualifying session on Friday night to lock in the first 8 rows for Saturday’s Main Event. Those that don’t qualify in the Top 16 will move on to B-Mains on Saturday night. New Vision Graphics jumps on board as the Presenting Sponsor for both nights of the A-Modifieds.

On Saturday night, May 28th the Consolation Events will be held for the Super Late Models in addition to the 100 lap Show-Me finale. Open Wheel Modifieds will be featured as the support class and will compete for $500 to win. Racing action will start at 7:30 following Pre-Race Ceremonies featuring the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.

Pit admission is $25 on Thursday night and $35 on Friday and Saturday night. 3-Day Pit Passes will also be available for purchase on Thursday for $95. Family Passes are available on Friday night for $40 and on Saturday night for $50. All Lucas Oil Speedway Tickets are Non-Refundable. Your Show-Me 100 ticket becomes your rain check and can be used a later date on the 2011 schedule. In addition to all of the activities on track, the off-track activities scheduled to appear include the U.S. Air Force Orange County Chopper Tour, the AAA NASCAR show car display featuring Kurt Busch’s AAA sponsored NASCAR Sprint Cup Car, as well as multiple apparel trailers, racing simulators, vendor displays, and a short Fireworks Show on Saturday night. A driver autograph session will take place on the vendor Midway on Saturday afternoon prior to the on track activities. A Show-Me 100 would not be complete without “Gus the Mule” and fans won’t be disappointed as Gus will be in attendance all weekend. Lucas Oil Speedway also offers a picturesque camping area with brand new Shower and Bathroom facilities built in 2009. All Dry camping is FREE for this event in 2011 and includes the use of the shower and bathroom facilities. Dry Camping spots in designated areas will be on a first come first served basis. A limited number of spots with water and electric have already been sold out and are not available for this event.
