Springfield Raceway Back In Action Sat Night With O’ReillyAutoParts Night And Spectator Drags

Springfield RacewaySpringfield,Mo.-After a couple of weeks off,The Quick-Quarter of the Springfield Raceway will be back in action Sat Night June 4th with the Transport Graphics Championship Chase featuring The Budwesier RHS USRA Modifieds,Reliable Chevrolet SportMods,Casey’s General Stores Midwest Modz,Missouri Legends,Wheeler Metals PureStocks and Pepsi StreetStocks as Racing will start at 7PM.

Springfield Based O’ReillyAutoParts will be the Sponsor for the evening and action will also feature the Popular Spectator Drags where fans can enter their vehicles and go to head one on one to see who can come out on top.

Going into the 4th points race for the SpringfieldRaceway, point battles are still very tight in all 6 classes as currently Carthage’s Jackie Dalton holds a 44 point lead over Branson’s Hard Charging Jody Tillman in the high-horepower of the Budweiser USRA Modifieds while defending track champion Mitch Keeter of Webb City,Terry Beckham II of Webb City and Springfield hard charger Erik Maggard complete the top 5. Dalton won the opening 2 races while USMTS Traveler Johhny Scott of New Mexico took the last feature.Dalton hasn’t had it easy as both wins were on the final few laps.

Reliable Chevorlet SportMod point leader Bobby Maggard jr of Republic holds a tight 2 point lead over defending champion Wayne Graybeal of Springfield while Springfield GM Performance Crate Racer JC Morton is only 5 markers behind with Reed Springs driver Mike Hailman and last season’s Midwest Modz Champion Kaleb Copher of Webb City right in the hunt also as 3 different winners out of 3 races so far this season.

The Casey’s General stores Midwest Modz class finds 4th generation driver Trevor Drake of Webb City holding the top spot with Niangua’s Sam Petty,Joplin veteran Randy Belk,Ozark’s Rusty Forrest and Shane Bias following in the standings in this ever growing class.Lots of new faces are entering this class and it continues to grow each week.

The Missouri Legends have been strong in car count and Joplin’s Park Jones holds a narrow 7 point lead over Springfield’s Jay Reynolds while former track champion Jason Rayle of Springfield,Defending champion Justin Comer of Joplin and veteran Dave comer of Joplin complete the top 5 with only 11 points separting them.The Legends have provided an excellent average car count so far this season with close to 20 per night.

Ava’s Jack Hamer heads the popular PureStock standings with a slim 3 point lead over Charles Woodruff of Springfield while Elijah Keeper,rookie Matt Bowen and Chris Woodruff complete the top 5 as Hamer and James Redus of Springfield have captured feature wins so far in close competition.

Branson’s Bryan Tillman will be looking for his third straight win in the StreetStock class as he has the point lead over Springfield’s Dan Wood and Tim Petty of Niangua.

Pit Gates open at 4PM with Hotlaps starting at 6:15 and Racing at 7PM.Drivers Meeting will be at 5:45.

The Grandstand Gates open at 5PM with General Admission only $10 for Adults while kids 6-12 are $5 and under 6 are Free.
