Lebanon,Mo.-The 2011 racing season has seen some of the best racing in recent seasons at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway with many races not being decided until the closing laps and lots of new winners gracing the winners circle as action continues Friday night with Racing starting at 8PM.
Special fan interaction events are planned for the next 2 Friday Nights as this week Friday June 3rd will allow the fans a chance to meet the drivers up close as a special on track autograph session presented by Miday Consignment Auction on North Hwy 5 will help co-sponsor this event.This will be held at the intermission break and gives the fans a chance along with the drivers a chance to spend some time with each other.this has always been a very popular event while Next Friday Night June 10th will see the kids bike races for kids 10 and under.
Heading into this weekend’s action the chase for the Central Bank Series Championship is tight in all classes with many solid point battles as drivers try to advance themselves each week as the drivers prepare for the 5th week of points competition
In the Central Bank FactoryStocks James Flood of Billings holds a very narrow 6 point lead over Sundance Keepper of Everton while Josh Franklin,defending champion Tyson Troutman and Rookie Shawn Whitman complete the top 5 with only 20 points between the top 4.
The Aaron’s Sales and Rental Modifieds finds defending champion Michael Stake of Phillipsburg holding to the top spot with a 27 point lead over Decaturville’s JC Newell as Lebanon’s Kris Jackson has moved into a solid third place with Lebanon’s Lonnie Henderson and opening night winner Shawn Strong in the top 5.
The Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz will find defending champion JC Newell of Stoutland holding only a 2 point lead over Rich Reynolds of Halltown with last weeks winner Earl Muilenburg,Sam Petty and Bill Joiner rounding out the top 5.Reynolds has yet to win a feature while Newell has captured 2 wins along with Muilenburg.
The Energy Company PureStocks has a great battle going on with Lebanon’s Monk Barker holding a 5 point margin over defending champion Kory Barker with Kolt Barker,Matt Young and Shorty Doublin in the top 5.Only 14 points separate the top 4 to show just how close this class is each week.
The Transport Graphice StreetStocks has defending and 2 time champion Joe Francis of Lebanon nursing a slim 10 point lead over Brandon Waters while last weeks winner Trevor Ellingson of Lebanon has snuck into third only 15 out of the top spot.Rodney Yost of Squires and Tom Curnutt of Macks Creek completes the top 5.A strong car count and things will really get tight in this class.
Grandstand Gates open at 5PM with hotlaps at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM sharp.MidwaySpeedway is a 3/8ths mile dirt oval locates 6 miles on East Highway 32 and then 1/2 mile on B Highway.
Grandstand Admission for Adults is only $10 with Juniors(ages 8-150 only $5 and Under 8 Free while Pitpasses are $25 while kids 10 and Under are $10.The speedway also offers a special family package which includes 2 Adults and 3 Juniors for $25 which is a $10 savings for the family.
