POWRi National Midget Series Heads To Quick-Quarter Of Springfield Raceway Sat June11th Presented By Green Lawn Funeral Homes

Springfield RacewaySpringfield,Mo.-For the 1st time ever in the history of the Springfield Raceway the Poer I National Midget series heads to the racy and ultra-fast Quick-Quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway Sat night June 11th along with the 600CC Outlaw Micro Series presented by Jake Diemer andGreen Lawn Funeral Homes in Springfield. Diemer a former area racer is a strong supporter in the local racing scene.Diemer who started his racing career in Mini-Stocks and then moved into LateModel Competition in the late 70’s and early 80’s knows the importance of helping the local racing scene as he is a strong supporter of the Ozarks Area Racers Reunion and is branching out every more.

This will be the 1st time in 3 seasons that Midget Racing will be at the SpringfieldRaceway and the Power I Series brings a solid field of drivers into the area along with some strong local talent.

Currently Nick Knepper of Belleville,ILL heads the point standings over Derek King of Vienna,ILL while defending National Champion Brad Loyet of St Louis holds down the 5th spot.Loyet and the familiar orange 05 team have been some of the strongest in the National Midget Rankings in the last 2 seasons and have been a front runner everywhere they compete including in the biggest Midget Race,the Chili Bowl.

A Very strong field of local competition is also expected as Andrew Felker of Carl Junction,Mo will head that pack which is expected to include Rusty Dukes of Fair Grove,Pat Schudy of Springfield and others.The 600 CC Winged Outlaw Micros will also be in action with current point leader Derek King heading the standings.

In the last weekends POWER I National Midget races, Michael Pickens of New Zealand won both races over Loyet as Andrew Felker was able to capture the 600 CC Micro feature.Drivers from 5 states or more are expected to be on hand.

Support classes competing in the Transport Graphics Championship Chase will be SportMods,Midwest Modz,Legends and PureStocks.Pit gates will open at 3PM while the Grandstands open at 5 PM with hotlaps at 6:15 and Racing at 7PM.

Adult Grandstand Admission for this special event will be $17 for Adults while kids 6-12 are $5 and under 6 Free.Pitpasses will be $30.

This is the only schedule race for the Power I National Midget Series and first time ever at SpringfieldRaceway and a don’t miss event.
