Comp Cams Super Dirt Series(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS)  Batesville, Arkansas native Wendell Wallace recorded his first victory of the 2011 racing season on Friday night, June 10 at the Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri!  The Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) rolled into Malden on Friday to sanction a $2,000 to win event.  Wendell was strong from the outset in the 35-lap feature, as he blasted to the lead on lap five and never looked back.  The driver known as the “Batesville Bullet” claimed the $2,000 victory over Dane Dacus, Johnny Virden, Jeff Floyd, and Austin Rettig.

On Saturday evening, the Wendell Wallace Autosports team was scheduled to compete in the second round of the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series doubleheader weekend at the Northeast Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas.  However, rain showers shortly before hot laps on Saturday forced the cancellation of the $2,000 to win showdown.  Full results from Malden can be accessed online at www.compdirt.com.

“We are getting this car a little better and it sure feels good to get that monkey off of our back by winning at Malden,” exclaimed Wallace earlier this week.  “I have to thank everyone associated with my program for all of their support and hopefully there are some more wins down the road for us this year.  We had plans of maybe starting off on the UMP Summer Nationals, but we couldn’t get everything together to do that full deal.  It looks like we might head up to Illinois on Tuesday or Wednesday next week and race with those guys a few nights.”

Following the win at Malden, the #88 team has decided to take the upcoming June 17-18 weekend off from racing action.  Instead, Wendell will prep his equipment for several upcoming UMP Summer Nationals programs.  He is unsure of when he will jump on the grueling tour, but tentative plans call for him to invade the Land of Lincoln sometime next week.  When a final decision is made, you can view his schedule plans first by clicking on www.wendellwallace.com.

Wendell Wallace would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support:  Triple A Diesel Service, LLC, Wincrest Farms, Mark Martin KIA, Bad Boy Mowers, C. W. Culvert, GRT Race Cars, Victory Circle by Moyer M1 Chassis, New Vision Graphics, Russell Baker Racing Engines, Garrett Racing, Delph Communications, Base Racing Fuel, BSB Manufacturing, C&S Cable Construction, Rockhard Powder Coating, Frankland Racing Supply, Sweet Mfg., and Wilwood Engineering.
