West Plains Motor SpeedwayWest Plains, Missouri (07/02/11) – Wendell Wallace raced to his second COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) victory of the season on Saturday night as he overtook race long leader, Jeff Floyd, with just two laps remaining in the event to claim the win.

Twenty-nine Super Late Models entered the second night of the West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri) doubleheader, and it was Darrell Mooneyham, who earned the JFR Graphics Pole Position for the 40 lap feature after earning the most points in heat race action.  He was joined on the front row by Jeff Floyd, and as the race went green it was Floyd, who bolted to the top spot with Mooneyham, Bill Frye, Todd Hall, and Ian Samuals in pursuit.

Floyd would pace the field for the first 38 laps of the feature before Wendell Wallace took over the top spot with two laps remaining, and never looked back on his way to the $3,000 payday.  Floyd, Stacy Taylor, RC Whitwell, and Bill Frye rounded out the top five.

The Rocket Chassis First Heat was won by Bill Frye with Darrell Mooneyham winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, and Ian Samuel winning the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race, and Jeff Floyd topped the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat Race.

RC Whitwell and Jeremy Payne topped the twin Boston’s Sports Bar and Restaurant b-mains.

RC Whitwell was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after advancing from his 15th starting spot to a 4th  place finish.

The Quarter Master Hard Luck Award went to Brandon Smith .
