93.5 Rocks Lucas Oil Speedway Night Brings New and Repeat Winners!

Lucas Oil SpeedwayWheatland, MO (July 11th, 2011)- A hot summer night brought Paul Snyder his first win in the Pitts Home A-Mod’s, Rylan Long win number six at Lucas Oil Speedway in 2011, and Sundance Keepper back to back wins. Keith Simmons was also in Victory Lane in the MOVR class. The 93.5 Rocks Lucas Oil Speedway night with Rockstar Energy Drink Weekly Championship Series Presented by Nemo Quarry, brought a great crowd and action packed racing.

In the TNT Quick Shop Late Models, Chris Hawkins from Neosho, Missouri led the field to the green flag from his pole starting position. Hawkins would fall to an eighth place finish before the checkers. Rylan Long finished fifth in his heat and started the Midwest Low-E Feature from the sixth starting spot. Rylan drove a quick line around the speedway and took the checkers in front of the field with limited rear brakes on his GRT by Phillips. Tommy Cordray came in second with Larry Jones in third. Jamie Ragland charged through the field from the fourteenth starting position to finish fourth gaining ten positions in the 20 lap feature.

In The Pitt’s Homes A-Modified Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps A-Feature Paul Synder picked up his first win at Lucas Oil Speedway. Synder from Wellsville, Kansas started the field third and battled for position throughout the race. Terry Kirk and Lyle Dietrich started second and third. The two held position for throughout the race before Dietrich lost several spots to finish eighth while Kirk would end up in fourth. Wheatland’s Mike Striegal had another fantastic run to finish in third. Striegal and second place finisher Steve Martin both gained seven spots during the race, making charges from their 9th and 10th place starting positions.

In the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks, Everton, Missouri’s Sundance Keepper gained back to back wins in the Nemo Quarry A Feature. Sundance started the feature event in 9th and worked his way to lead the pack to the checkers. James Flood led throughout the race only to break a water pump late costing him a possible win. Randy Gilmore had a strong second place finish and was consistent all night. Tony Reasoner Jr. from Urich, Missouri finished in third, Chip Shaddox and Keith Webster rounded out the top five.

The Midwest Outlaw Vintage Racing Series made it’s second appearence of 2011 on Saturday. A strong field of Vintage racers were on hand as Keith Simmons took the win. Keith was followed by Jack Simmons. For complete MOVR results and current points standings for the series visit www.movr.us.

The month of July really heats up on and off the track as the 5th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals takes place this Saturday, July 16th as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolls into town for their final appearance of 2011. On July 23rd, it’s the annual KTTS/Ozarks Food Harvest Food Drive Night as fans can bring any (4) Non-Perishible food items and receive free admission to the Speedway. Finally, on July 29th-31st, the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series will be in town for the Inaugural Diamond Drag Boat Nationals on the brand new Liquid Quarter Mile. The Lucas Oil MLRA and the Pitt’s Homes A-Modifieds will also be running a special event on July 30th.
