KTTS Night plus Ozarks Food Harvest Food Drive!

Lucas Oil SpeedwayWheatland, MO (July 19th, 2011) – Saturday, July 23 at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks, admission is (4) non-perishable food items, that’s right FREE admission with your donation to the Ozarks Food Harvest! The Ozarks Food Harvest will be on hand accepting the donations and granting admission to KTTS Night at the races. KTTS will have fun games and prizes for kids to enjoy as they will also be broadcasting live from the Speedway.

Saturday’s event presented by KTTS will include the Rockstar Energy Drink Championship Series with TNT Quick Shop Late Models, Pitts Homes A-Modified’s and Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks. Bring the family for an action packed night of racing, fun games and prizes all while supporting the fight against hunger. Other attractions include the Greater Ozarks Mustang Club, the Lucas Oil Late Model Simulator and The Frog’s Sign Jr. Fan Club and the “Mudd Slinger.”

In the TNT Quick Shop Late Model class Rylan Long remains out front in point standing with Browning, Missouri’s Tommy Cordray in second. Long hold’s a 67 point lead over Cordray. Chris Hawkins and Larry Jones follow, with Christopher Morelock rounding out the top five.

The point’s breakdown in The Pitts Homes A Modifieds is much closer, with only 2 points separating points leader Mickey Burrell from Chase Jones. Johnny Fellers sits in third. Lyle Dietrich and Terry Kirk both from Urbana, Missouri have their own battle for the fourth points position with only 1 point between the two.

Finally in the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks, James Flood from Billings, Missouri is out front in his #42 machine. Defending track champion Randy Gilmore sits in second only 22 points out of the lead. Sundance Keepper is close on the bumper of Gilmore only 5 points behind, in third. Chip Shaddox and Mike Bitner round out the remainder of the top 5. As the season wears on the battle for points heats up and Saturday should be no exception.

Spectator Gates are set to open at 5:00pm on Saturday, July 23th with Hot Laps set to get under way at 7:00pm and the first big race of the night at 7:30pm. Adult Admission at the gate is (4) non-perishable food items or $12. The same applies to Seniors and Active Military (4) non-perishable food items or $8. Juniors (6-15) (4) items or $5 and Kids 5 and under are always FREE at Lucas Oil Speedway. Pit Pass Pricing is set at $25.

The Lucas Oil Speedway is located at Highways 83 and 54 in Wheatland, MO. A campground with shower and bathroom facilities is also available. With it’s entrance located just outside the pit gate this sprawling scenic camping facility will continue to enhance the racing experience at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks.
