Lucas Oil Late Model Series(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Batesville, Arkansas native Billy Moyer reached the double-digit win mark on Saturday night, August 13 at the venerable West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri, as he racked-up his tenth victory of 2011 in a MARS DIRTcar Series / Comp Cams Super Dirt Series co-sanctioned tilt! Billy won his heat race in preliminary action at WPMS and later rolled off from the outside of the front row in the 40-lap feature event. After beating son and polesitter Billy Moyer, Jr. to the point on the first circuit, Billy led flag-to-flag in the A-Main to score the $3,000 win over Moyer, Jr., Jesse Stovall, Terry Phillips, and Todd Hall.

Earlier in the week, the #21 team was in the Hawkeye State of Iowa for a pair of $10,000 to win programs. On Monday night, Billy wound up sixth in a World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown at the Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa. At the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa on Tuesday evening, Billy retired early in the ‘Tornado Tuesday’ feature event and was credited with a fifteenth place effort. Full results from all three shows for the BMR team last week can be viewed online at www.dirtondirt.com.

“The win at West Plains on Saturday will hopefully get us back on the winning track,” stated Moyer recently from his race shop. “Coming off a long trip to Wisconsin and Iowa that did not go exactly our way, that victory at West Plains was maybe what the doctor ordered. We have been working hard at the shop this week to get everything ready to go for Batesville. It would be a great feeling to win that race for a fifth time and hopefully things go our way this weekend!”

Next up for the #21 team will the 19th Annual ‘Topless 100’ at the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas this weekend (August 19-20). The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again sanction the crown jewel extravaganza at the Mooney Starr promoted facility. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled to take place on Friday night, while the consolation races and the $40,000 to win ‘Topless 100’ are slated for Saturday evening. Billy has four ‘Topless 100’ titles to his credit, as he reached victory lane in Batesville in 1995, 1997, 2002, and 2005.
