NASCAR Star Mike Wallace will be piloting the Larry Phillips Foundation/Sportsland Pickup covers #11 Chevrolet Late Model stock car this Saturday night at the famed Lebanon I-44 Speedway. Gates will open at 5 pm, with racing beginning at 7:30.
Wallace, the former Lebanon I-44 Speedway track champion and 1990 Mid-America NASCAR Region Champion (who won 21 of 29 feature races that year), squares off against his daughter Chrissy Wallace who is the current I-44 Speedway Late Model AND ASA national points leader.
Chrissy has won six feature events this season and is looking for her seventh as she closes in on the Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship. She has an ASA points average of 4.6284 and leads Barry Beggarly(4.6026 average), Shelby Stroebel (4.3027 average) and Wayne Webb(4.0465 average), and has the most feature wins of the 2011 national point competitors.
Mike Wallace currently competes in the highest levels of NASCAR, and has over 600 career starts. Mike is known as one of the best superspeedway racers in NASCAR today, and he currently stands 13th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship points.
