MARS DIRTcar SeriesMuskogee, OK (September 24, 2011) – Will Vaught of Crane, MO wasted little time of establishing himself as a dominant force during the final night of the Thunderfest Shoot Out at Thunderbird Speedway.  Vaught won his heat race and won the $3,000 to win feature event from his outside front row starting position.  Vaught also led all thirty laps and picked up the Charlie’s Chicken $1,000 to win bonus for any driver that was able to win both nights bringing his two-day total to $6,500.

MARS point leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO repeated his performance from the night before and finished second to Vaught.  Tucson, AZ native R.C. Whitwell finished third while Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, AR and Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO rounded out the top five.

The MARS Series will return to action this Saturday October 1st at the Springfield Raceway in Springfield, MO for the Larry Phillips Memorial.
