Springfield Raceway Prepares For Round 2 Of Final 4 of 2011 With October 15th 6th Annual Octoberfast

Springfield RacewaySpringfield,Mo.-After completing round number 1 of the Springfield Raceway’s 2011 Final or Big 4 Specials last weekend with a very successful Larry Phillips Memorial,the staff is getting it in high gear in preparing for the 6th annual Bordertown Casino Octoberfast on Sat October 15th.

This annual event offers racing in 6 different classes with an outstanding payout down the line for all involved along with a special attraction as Area Law Enforcement compete to help raise money for 1 missing link.Last season  Law Enforcement from the State did battle in racing Crown Vics built strictly for this fund raiser.

For the fans not only do they get an outstanding racing event,select fans get a chance to catch raining money as at intermission as Bordertown Casino has the popular money drop.

Action will feature the USRA Modifieds as they compete for National Points in a scheduled 25 lap $1222 to win feature while the runner-up takes home $650 while the feature pays $275 to start the main event. B-Mods(Springfield rules) will see the winner grab an unbelievable $777 with the runner-up grabbing $400 and the feature paying $100 to start.The ever growing Midwest Modz and INEX Legend Cars battle for $333 to win and $100 to start while the Area’s PureStocks run for a whopping $444 to win and $100 to start.PureStocks must bring their tracks rules and will be teched by those.A welcomed addition to Octoberfast finds the area Bomber type cars going head-to head for the first time this season for a feature paying $477 to the winner while it pays $100 to start.Williams Restoration of Springfield is the proud sponsor for the Bombers.Rules go under 2010 SpringfieldRaceway rules along with Dallas County speedway and LebanonMidway rules.

Car entry fees for Octoberfast are USRA Modifieds-$80,B-Mods-$35 while the other classes are only $25.Pitpasses are $35 and the pitgates open at 10:30 AM Sat morning October 15th.Passing points will be used with the top 8 in the USRA Modifieds redrawing at intermission for their starting spots.

Draw for heat races cutoff is set for 2PM and drivers who arrive late will be placed tailback with no passing bonus points being given,only the heat race points.Drivers meeting will be at 1:40 and Hotlaps are at 2PM with Racing to begin at 3PM.

Grandstand gates open at 1PM and Adlut Admission for this don’t miss event is only $15 for Adults while kids 6-12 are $5 and under 6 Free.

Last season this event drew over 140 raceteams to the Quick-Quarter.Defending event winners are Scott Drake(USRA Modifieds),Eric Tinderholt(B-Mods),Park Jones(Legends),Mark Simon(Bombers),Kory Barker(Purestocks) and Randy LeBow(Midwest Modz).Joey Kile of Christian County won the Law Enforcement race with a dramatic finish as he took the lead with only a handful of laps left.Raceceivers are to be used in USRA Modifieds,B-Mods,Legends, and Midwest Modz.Drivers need to provide their own raceceiver.
