Springfield Raceway Ready For 1st Annual Boogerman Trick Or Treat For Breast Cancer LateModel Special

Springfield RacewaySpringfield,Mo.-This Sat October 29th the Quick-Quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway will be ready fro the 3rd of its final 4 2011 Special events as racers,fans,and sponsors gather together to help raise money for Breast Cancer as Incredible Pizza presents the Boogerman LateModel Challange between the Race Bros. Show-Me Racin Series and the Crawdad’s Classic Gourmet Hot Sauce Central Missouri Based ULMA Latemodels along with extra money races for the A-Mods,B-Mods,Midwest Modz,Legends,PureStocks and Bombers.

Kids will get a special preview night of Trick Or Treat time during intermission as over 20 Springfield and Joplin area businesses and race teams will be setting up a Special Safe Trick Or Treat Area for those in costume 16 and Under.Special Prize giveaways will also be given out to the kids in costume as they register.

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month part of the procedes will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation Of The Ozarks located in Springfield.They are a non-profit organization founded over 11 years ago.Today over 2.5 million have survived alone in the United States.

The headline event will be a $800 to win and $250 to start feature event with the Show-Me Racin Series and ULMA LateModels as they battle for the top prize money.This is a bonus points event for the Show-Me Series as Justin Wells heads-up the point pack for this popular Regional Series which has averaged over 20 plus entries this season per event.Other top drivers include former Champions Leslie Essary,Ken Essary,Larry Campbell,Rex Merritt,Springfield’s Chris Morelock and former SpringfieldRaceway racer Eric Tinderholt and many others.

In 2011,Greenfield’s Rylan”Big Country”Long captured the 2011 ULMA National Title.The ULMA Sanctioned LateModel Racing at Lucas Oil Speedway,Callaway County in Fulton,Mo.,Central Missouri Speedway in Warrenburg,Moberly Speedway,Quincy Raceways In Quincy,ILL They competed in a uniformed system in which drivers were able to take their top finishes for the season.Long competed in over 17 ULMA Sanctioned events and was the Lucas Oil Speedway ULMA Track Champion also.ULMA has been helping to keep LateModel Racing alive weekly since 2007 while the Show-Me Series has been around since 2004.

12 year old Jake Griffin was runner-up and Rookie of the year while Centerview’s Jason”Bodee” Bodenhamer finished third while for the Show-Me Series Justin Wells is looking for his 4th Title and third in a row.Wells and Ken Essary both Show-Me Regulars are SpringfieldRaceway Turkey Clssic LateModel winners.Both Sanctions will be running under their own rules.

A-Mods will battle in a $500 to win and $100 to start feature(USRA Rules including the chip rule,Hoosier IMCA Stamped G60 tires may compete) B-Mods(Springfield Rules-Hoosier IMCA G60 Stamped Tires may compete) battle for $300 to win and 50 to start,Midwest Modz race for $150 to win and $40 to start,Legends hit the Quick-Quarter for a whopping $400 to win and $50 to start while Purestocks go head to head for $120 to win and $40 to start while again the area Bombers race for $200 to win and $50 to start.

Pitgates open at 11:30 with drivers meeting at 2:30.Hotlaps at 3PM and Racing at 4PM.Pitpasses are $30 and no entry fee except for LateModels($50 Car Entry Fee).

Grandstand Gates open at 2PM and the Speedway should be able to get the Safe Trick Or Treat night started around dark during intermission.Grandstand Admission is only $15 for this Special event to help raise awareness For Breast Cancer.Kids 16 and Under In Costume are admitted Free.
