DIRTcar Late Models, Super DIRTcar Big-Blocks also hitting Sunshine State to kick off 2012 racing season

CONCORD, N.C. – Nov. 26, 2011 – Anchored around the 41^st UNOH DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, 15 nights of DIRTcar UMP Modified racing at four Florida racetracks kick start the 2012 action in February, plus seven nights of DIRTcar Late Models and four nights of Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds.

The racing heats up in Florida beginning Feb. 2 for three nights at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, then slides across the state to East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton for three more nights. Both tracks will feature $5,000-to-win finales before invading Volusia Speedway Park Feb. 14 in Barberville for eight nights of racing in the UNOH DIRTcar Nationals, including the $5,000-to-win Gator Championship and the final night of Twin or Triple 25’s depending on car count. That final night will get a makeover this season, too, with the top point drivers competing in one race while the next group in points will compete in the second race and finally a third group in points, if necessary, in a final feature. All three races will pay $700 to win with the Top 10 in points in each group being inverted.

Following the UNOH DIRTcar Nationals, the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds will wrap up their Florida tour with three nights at North Florida Speedway beginning Feb. 23 in Lake City.

The UNOH DIRTcar Nationals will feature six nights of DIRTcar Late Models, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 20, and competing two nights in conjunction with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The final three nights of DIRTcar Late Models will be racing for $10,000-to-win.

The UNOH DIRTcar Nationals also serves as the winter break for Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds each year. The four-night Florida Tour for the Big-Blocks begins Wednesday, Feb. 22.
