Reliable Chevrolet has joined again to be the naming sponsor of the Highly competitive B-Modifieds.This class has went right down to the wire the last 3 seasons in the championship chase and offers drivers 2 different type of motor rules with a spec motor and also a GM 602 Crate Motor. In 2011 Veteran Bobby Magard Jr just nipped Youngster JC Morton in the final points tally.Maggard had both the spec motor earlier in the season and then purchased a 602 Crate motor as Morton ran the crate motor all season long.

For the Championship 2012 chase and other selective events,Reliable Chevrolet through the GM Performance program will offer $350 to drivers using the 602 Crate motor with the highest finishing crate driver taking home an extra $125 while the next highest feature finishing crate car will gather $100 with $75 and $50 available after that.If the motor was not purchased through Reliable then only 1/2 of the bonus money is available. Fourth generation driver Trevor Drake of Webb City captured the title in 2011 and brought home the most win coming from the 12th starting spot almost every week.Casey’s General Stores will have several promotional things going on their Facebook page along with Springfield Raceway this season.

Wheeler Metals in Springfield has been a strong sponsor for the Speedway and for 2012 will be the title sponsor for the always 3-4 wide racing of the Legend Cars.Always providing an outstanding customer service to the public,Wheeler Metals feels that the Legend Cars provide the crowd with an exciting and entertaining event week after week.Joplin veteran Dave Comer overtook early season point leader Park Jones and then went on a streak with top 3 finishes for over 7 straight features coming from the 12th starting spot in a 20 car field. This season to help add for the younger generation of up and coming racers the Young Gungs in Legend Cars will feature drivers in ages from 12-16.
