Gateway Motorsports Park to have their 2012 kickoff on Saturday, March 10th!

Please pass the word, share the flyer, post it to your favorite website or bulletin board…..for this free family oriented event this coming Saturday, March 10.

Any automotive club or racing organization/track is welcome.  If your club/track or a club/track you know of hasn’t been contacted please pass this along.  Each organization/track is responsible for their own table, information distribution, and raffle (if they choose to do one).

They do plan to make this an annual event and want it to become an all encompassing everything in St. Louis motorsports event.

Also keep in mind this Saturday, March 10, Highland Speedway has a play day, there is the Full Moon Saloon Car Show in Caseyville celebrating “Dandy” Don Klein’s final season of racing (he’s raced 57 consecutive years in 2012) and the St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club will host their final general membership meeting that evening at Crehan’s in Belleville, it is Open Wheel night and the winner of the SuperFan Raffle will be drawn.

Gateway Motorsports Park Kickoff Flier

Save the date!  Saturday, March 10, 2012Gateway Motorsports Park in conjunction with SCCA St. Louis Region is hosting an Open House at Gateway from 10am to 4pm.  Admission is free.  ANNUAL SCCA TECH INSPECTION will be available for PDX, Solo, and Club Racing.  The NHRA Drag Racers will be present, performing Chassis Certification, by appointment ONLY.   Several other Car clubs are joining in the fun; Audi, BMW, Porsche, Viper and the Drift Racers.  

 

You can e-mail stldsr@yahoo.com for further information or to add your name to the helper list – we’re always looking for volunteers to help staff the event if you can donate an hour or the whole day.   Contact Bruce Stephens at the above address if you would like to set up a table at the event.  Space is available at this time.  Each group will be responsible for bringing a table for their presentation materials.  Remember to bring a chair to sit on as well.

 

Solo Performance Specialties will have a trailer on site and items can be purchased at the event.  Gateway personnel will be on hand as well to field any questions about the track.  Other groups present will be PDX, they are going to do a little bar-b-que.  Solo will be raffling off two radios at their table.  SCCA Membership will be present, raffling off one free SCCA St. Louis Region membership to someone who was NOT a member as of 9am that Saturday morning.  Club Racing will raffle a 50% off entry fee to either race this year for any driver bringing their car to the track on March 10.  Rallycross is planning to have a table as is the 100 Acre Wood Peformance Rally Group.  Dad’s Auto Body will be there and a raffle is planned at that table as well.  AutoWerks will have their trailer available with items for purchase for the German Car Enthusiast.

Raffles will be handled individually by each group, please plan on announcing your winners by 3:30pm.   Also, please make certain each person knows their ticket is good at your raffle only.

Enterprise is bringing their large truck and will have some information available about Survival School training.  It is shaping up to be a great day at GATEWAY! come on over and join in the fun, bring the family!!  Let’s have a great show of SCCA support for our home town Race Track!
