Aimee Loyet, PHOENIX, Az. (March 5, 2012) – Brad Loyet, driver of the Loyet Motorsports, Vacuworx International, Maxim chassis, J&D Performance orange o5 had a fourth and 13th place finish at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Az. this weekend.
On Friday night, Loyet moved up one spot in his heat race, advancing him into a fifth place starting position for the A-main event. After dropping back to 10th place through the middle of the event, Loyet raced his way to a fourth place finishing position. Tony Bruce, Jr, Brady Bacon and Wayne Johnson were the top three finishers and joined Loyet in being locked in for Saturday night’s A-main event.
Saturday night, Loyet drew the front row outside starting position for the 30-lap event. Taking an early lead, Loyet set multiple car lengths between him and the rest of the field running the high side of the 1/3 mile track. While trying to protect the bottom, Loyet did a 360˚ turn, never losing power but pushing him back deep into the field. Loyet recovered with a 13th place finished position. Jason Johnson was victorious over Bacon and Tony Stewart.
After the weekend opener, Loyet is sixth in ASCS National points standings. The next event Loyet will enter is slated for March 9-10 at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton, Az.
