World of Outlaws Late Model SeriesWatertown, NY (April 2, 2012) Tim Fuller and his Tim Fuller Racing Inc., team were hoping to kick off the 2012 season by shaking off the gremlins that plagued him throughout the 2011 season. Unfortunately for the 2007 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rookie of the Year, 2012 did not start the way he had hoped. Fuller has started six of the seven completed WoO A-Main events this season but was forced to use four emergency provisional’s to do so.

Fuller, who sits 15th in the WoO championship point standings, 288 points behind leader Darrell Lanigan of Union, KY, will back off the WoO trail and focus on rebuilding his race team for the 2013 campaign. ‘It was a hard decision to make,’ Tim said about reevaluating his 2012 plans. ‘I’m just so far behind right now, we dug ourselves too big of a hole already, there’s just no way that we can catch up. We really needed to make some money while we were in Georgia and Florida to be able to continue with the series and that didn’t happen. The second night out, we wrecked pretty good and that put us even further behind. I think it’s time to sit back and reevaluate where we are as a race team.’

‘Still to this day, there are folks out there that randomly help out my race program,’ said Fuller, ‘a couple dollars here and a couple dollars there, even as much as buying us tires to compete with. I am so grateful for outpouring of support from random people. It means a lot to myself and our race team that people care enough about our sport to help out us racers, I want to thank everyone for their help, support, and their dedication to not just myself, but the entire sport.’

Tim plans to continue to race the #74 Smith Brothers Concrete Foundation sponsored Big Block Modified but his main focus will continue to be his Late Model program. ‘The late model is where I want to be,’ Fuller quipped, ‘there is plenty of racing around for me to continue to run the late model. We’re going to focus more on regional shows and run with the (World of) Outlaws and Lucas (Oil Dirt Late Model Series) when they are around as well. By no means are we shutting down,’ Tim continued, ‘we’re going to take this opportunity to make ourselves a stronger race team and hopefully in 2013, we’ll be able to run the full Outlaws schedule again.’

While Fuller takes a break from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, he sits tied for tenth with Clint Smith of Senoia, GA in all-time wins with twelve. His most successful season was 2009 when he had seven total wins and rattled off four wins in a row at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, OH), Grandview Speedway (Bechtelsville, PA), Bedford Speedway (Bedford, PA) and Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, MD) on his way to his best tour finish in championship points, fourth.

Tim will be in action in his Reliable Painting, Keyser Manufacturing, Integra Racing Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media, G and R Auto Parts sponsored Rocket Chassis on Friday, April 20 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA or at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA for a $10,000 to-win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event. Then on Saturday, April 21, Fuller will head to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH for a United Late Model Series (ULMS) sanctioned, $3,000 to-win event.
