(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway gears up to roar into another action packed summer for the 2012 racing season.  The annual Opening Night Spring Fling presented by Sun Drop on April 7 will kick off an exciting season of racing at Macon Speedway in Macon, IL featuring UMP Late Models, Modifieds, and Street Stock racing as well as Sportsman, Pro Hornet, Amateur Hornet and High School Hornet classes.
Macon Speedway’s exciting summer schedule includes a Memorial Day Special the Bully Dog Night of NASCAR Stars I/NALMS being presented by Contingency Connection, followed by an Armed Forces Night on June 2.  Finishing off June is the 95Q Firecracker 40’s-Latemodel & Modified race that will be topped off with Fireworks to help celebrate the Independence Day. The summer and the racing are only begining to heat up at one of the fastest 1/5 mile tracks in the country in July when the Herald & Review 100 comes in combination with the UMP Super Nationals on Thursday, July 5. The POWRi series will be making stops by again this year at Macon Speedway on April, 28, August, 18, and finishing up the Macon Speedway racing season on September 29.
Fans won’t want to miss any of the action at Macon Speedway with a full summer of hot weekly racing action every Saturday night combined with an awesome mix of special events will bring fun and smiles to the entire family! Macon Speedway will run regular weekly racing Saturday nights through the end of September, so bring your family and your friends out to the track and experience the hottest ticket in town.
