Dustin Griffin, Michael Long, Abe Huls, Jim Gillenwater,Tanner Klingeleand Seith Woodruff all claimed feature event wins atQuincy Racewayson Sunday May 13 during the Mother’s Day Yellow Book Night at the Races.

Dustin Griffin made a clean sweep of the UMP Super Late Model division action by winning his heat race, the Summy Tire and Auto Center Dash and the thirty lap main event.Griffinrebounded from engine woes during last weeks action to take his first win in the Super Late Models by leading all thirty laps. Mark Burgtorf pushed an ailing car into the second spot followed by Denny Woodworth in third, Justin Reed in fourth and Brian Diveley in fifth. Burgtorf and Clint Kirkham took the other heat race wins.

Michael Long took the lead on the third lap of the twenty five lap Miller Lite UMP Modified main event from his outside second row starting position and cruised away to take a dominating win. Dave Weitholder scored the second spot withJared Schlipmanin third, Jake Griffin in fourth and Shawn Deering in fifth. Schlipman, Long and Weitholder took the heat race wins.

Abe Huls was the class of the field in the IMCA Stock Car main event as he won his second feature of the season. Huls bestedAaron Brocksieckin second,Terry Houstonin third, Jerry Jansen in fourth and Michael Larson in fifth. Ty Hill and Houston were the heat race winners.

Seventeen Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMods checked in to do battle with Jim Gillenwater collecting his second feature win in a row after a great battle with Tony Dunker. Dunker settled for the second spot followed by Bobby Anders in third,Tanner Klingelein fourth and Brad Holtmeyer in fifth. Dunker, Joe Bliven and Gillenwater were the heat race winners.

Tanner Klingeletook over the lead of the Hobby Stock feature event on the third lap and held off all challengers to score the main event win. Klingele held off the challenges ofJeremy Bussin second, Brandon Symmonds in third, Nathan Hayes in fourth and Jamie Bevill in fifth. Bevill and Klingele were the heat race winners.

Seith Woodruff came from his fifth row starting spot to take the win in the wild and crazy IMCA Sport Compact main event. Woodruff held off Casey Lambert in second, Kimberly Abbott in third, Brandon Lambert in fourth and Andrew Davis in fifth. Abbott and Thomas Angelo were the heat race winners.

The Northern All Star Late Models will invade Quincy Racewaysnext Sunday May 20 with a $2000 to Win, $300 to Start Feature Event. A field of over 30 of the high powered UMP Super Late Models is expected to provide a super race night for the fans. The UMP Modifieds, Quincy Hobby Stocks and the IMCA Sport Compacts will also be on the race schedule for the evenings events. The Pit Gates open at 2:30, Grandstands at 4:00, Driver’s Registration ends at 4:30, Drivers Meeting at 4:30, Hot Laps at 4:45 and Racing at 5:30pm.
