Wendell Wallace Earns Top Five in John Kuntz Memorial; Batesville Next

Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesBATESVILLE, AR (May 17) – Batesville, Arkansas standout Wendell Wallace and his #6m Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri on Saturday evening, May 12 for the 6th Annual ‘John Kuntz Memorial.’ The Lucas Oil MLRA Series and the MARS DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned the popular event, which boasted a $3,000 top prize. Wendell won his heat race in preliminary action and later crossed underneath the checkers following the 40-lapper in the fourth position. The driver known as the “Batesville Bullet” trailed only winner John Anderson, Jesse Stovall, and Justin Wells at Springfield over the weekend. Next up for the Wendell Wallace Autosports team will be a home game so to speak, as the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas will play host to the inaugural ‘Bad Boy 98’ from May 17-19. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the extravaganza this weekend at Batesville, which will kick-off with an open practice session on Thursday. Qualifying and heat races will then follow on Friday night, while consolation races and the 98-lap feature event will headline the weekend on Saturday evening. The winner of the ‘Bad Boy 98’ will receive $10,000 plus a 2012 Chevy Camaro and second place will bank a cool $20,000.
