Hubert & Campbell Make 1st Appearance in Victory Lane, Keepper & Jackson Return at Lucas Oil Speedway!

Lucas Oil SpeedwayWheatland, MO (May 20th, 2012) – Bolivar Herald-Free Press Night at the Races featured both the DJ’s RV B-Modifieds and the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks up for $500 to Win. The ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models and Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds were also in action at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for an awesome night of racing. The pit area was again, packed for another Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Championship Series. Triangle Quick Shop located in Galmey, Missouri, provided bonus pay for the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks. Sundance Keepper from Everton, Missouri took the checkers and the cash. Evan Hubert from Cross Timbers, Missouri grabbed his first win in 2012 at Lucas Oil Speedway in the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models. In the Pitts Homes A-Modfieds, Dustin Campbell from Nevada, Missouri, raced his way to Victory Lane. Rocky Top Marine supported the DJ’s RV B-Modifieds with $500 to Win. Kris Jackson topped a field of 28 of the area’s best B-Mod’s to claim his third win at Lucas Oil Speedway this season.

The Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks rolled out first, for $500 to Win by Triangle Quick Shop. Chip Shaddox from Wheatland, Missouri started on the pole. Shaddox ran in the lead pack for the 20 Lap Feature and eventually finished fourth. Sundance Keepper started in the fourth spot and quickly worked his way to the lead. Keepper was followed by Mark Carter from Warrensburg, Missouri. Burl Woods of Republic, Missouri finished third, Woods was also the Hard Charger coming from a 13th place start. Shaddox was fourth with Derek Brown from Stoutland, Missouri rounding out the top five.

Evan Hubert started the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Model feature second to Joe Walkenhorst from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Hubert worked his was past Walkenhorst and held a steady line around the top of the 3/8 mile clay oval for the win. Walkenhosrt finished in second. Current points leader, Jeremy Kelley from Walnut Grove, Missouri finished third. From Henley, Missouri, Justin and Jason Russell finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Rylan Long from Greenfield, Missouri, was the Hard Charger. Long started 20th and recorded a 12th place finish.

The Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds have seen five different winners in five features at Lucas Oil Speedway. Jason Russell again pulling double-duty, racing a ULMA Late Model and an USRA A-Mod, started the feature from the pole. Josh Woody from Waynesville, Missouri started second but would fade early to fall out of the top five. Dustin Campbell from Nevada, Missouri started in third. Terry Kirk from Urbana, Missouri and Tim Setzer of Archie, Missouri started the 20 lap event in 9th and 10th. The two charged through the field to battle with Campbell, Russell and Rustin Miller (Houston, MO) for position. Near the mid-point, Campbell would move into the lead and go on to Victory Lane. Russell finished second, Kirk took third, Tim Setzer finished fourth and Rustin Miller completed the top five. Eddie Bray Jr. of Archie, Missouri was the Hard Charger. Bray Jr. started 22nd and finished 9th.

A large field of DJ’s RV B-Modifieds turned out for the 25 Lap, $500 to Win Feature presented by Rocky Top Marine. Kris Jackson took the $500 pay day, for his win over Shawn Strong from Republic, Missouri. Jackson and Strong continue to be out front each week. Jackson now has three feature wins, Strong has two. They are the only two drivers this season to claim wins in the DJ’s RV B-Modifieds. Dustin Campbell claimed the win in the Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds and finished a solid third in the B-Mod feature. Jeff Miller from Hermitage, Missouri started in second. He would go three wide with Strong and Jackson, early. Miller then fell into fourth. Chad Staus from Otterville, Missouri was also a top five contender. Staus started in fourth and completed his night with a top five finish. Jacob Ebert from Oak Grove, Missouri started in 17th and finished in 11th as the Hard Charger.

DJ’s RV Sales & Service continues to award surprise incentives for drivers in the B-Mod class at Lucas Oil Speedway. For the feature event, a random finishing number was drawn after drivers rolled out on the track. The number drawn Saturday night was 14. Darren Robinson of Berryville, KS received an extra $100 from Dwight Brown of DJ’s RV Sales & Service in Bolivar, Missouri for finishing 14th.

The 20th Annual DART Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will kick off on Thursday Night, May 24th! A Test & Tune session will be held from 6-9 PM, with BBQ and the band LiveWire following. Grandstand admission is FREE and includes the post practice concert by LiveWire. Fans may also participate in the traditional BBQ with drivers and crews for just $10. Pit passes for Thursday are $25 and include the BBQ dinner and concert. The crowing of Miss Show-Me 100, Miss Lucas Oil Speedway and Little Miss Lucas Oil Speedway will take place at 8:30 PM on the Midway Stage. Friday, May 25th the action will heat up with Qualifying for the DART Show-Me 100. A Pre-Race concert by Country Music Recording Artist, Candy Coburn will set the tone for an eventful night of racing. The best Dirt Late Model drivers in the country will give it all they have to secure a spot in the 100 lap, marquee event. The Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds will also be in action running for $750 to Win presented by RacinDirt.com. The Manufacturer’s Dash and Race of Champions will also highlight Friday Night’s action. Candy Coburn will return to the Midway Stage for a Post-Race concert. Tickets Friday are just $20 for Adult General Admission, $15 for Seniors (62 & Up), $10 for Youth (6-15), FREE for Kids (5 & Under). A ticket includes FREE admission to the pre and post race concert by Candy Coburn on Friday. Pit passes are $35.

Saturday, May 26th will cap off the weekend with the running of the 20th Annual DART Show-Me 100. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA will line up the best drivers in the nation for 100 laps of racing.Tickets are $25 for Adults, $20 for Seniors (62 & Up), $10 for Youth (6-15), FREE for Kids (5 & Under). A Family Pass is $50 and includes two adults and up to three youth, plus special discounts at Track Treasures, Funnel Cake coupon and Go-Kart discounts.
