Lucas Oil Late Model Series(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team invaded the Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on May 18-19 for the inaugural running of the ‘Bad Boy 98.’ The unique event, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, provided the winner with $10,000 and a new 2012 Chevy Camaro. On Friday night during preliminary action, Dennis timed in ninth fastest in Group A and later finished third in his stacked heat race behind only prelim winner Billy Moyer and Jack Sullivan.

When Saturday evening rolled around at BMS, Dennis started the ‘Bad Boy 98′ from the inside of the fifth row. While hovering around the top ten in the 98-lapper, Dennis was unfortunately involved in a wreck and suffered a flat right rear tire. The Carpentersville, Illinois native eventually was credited with a fourteenth place finish at Batesville and currently finds himself ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings. Complete results from BMS can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

Another Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series mega-event awaits the Dennis Erb Racing team on May 25-26 in the Show-Me State of Missouri. The 20th Annual ‘DART Show-Me 100’ presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will take place on Friday and Saturday at the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The 100-lapper on Saturday night, which will be taped for broadcast on CBS, CBS Sports, SPEED, and MAVTV Networks in 2012, will pay $30,000 to the winner.

Following the ‘Show-Me 100,’ the #28 team is scheduled to make the overnight trek to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois for the annual running of the ‘Budweiser 50.’ The one-day UMP program at the St. Louis area venue on Sunday, May 27 boasts a $10,000 paycheck.
