Lebanon MidwayMidway Speedway defending 2-time Modified champion took the lead at the opening green and never looked back in taking the extra money feature for the B modifieds Saturday Night at the Midway Speedway. The win was Stake’s second of the season at the Lebanon dirt track oval.Stake timed-in second fastest for the event behind Cody Nivens which placed him pole for the second qualifying heat.By winning the heat race Stake placed his car on the outside front row as he took the opening lead from pole setter Tony Moore and last weeks winner DeWayne Hobbs.Hobbs gave early chase but the young leadfoot of Lebanon never was headed off as Hobbs had a carfull of Moore and fast qualifier Nivens during the feature event.A late race caution set up a great battle for the second place spot as Hobbs had Moore,Nivens and a fast moving Brian Webster in the mix.Following Stake to the finish was Hobbs as Nivens came on quickly to get around Moore to secure third with Moore and Webster following. All 12 of the starters finished on the lead lap.

Factory Stock competition would see the top 2 in point standings Brian Schutt and Bob Gustin not present which will really tighten up the standings.Veteran Dale Berry grabbed the opening spot from his pole spot.Mark Simon made a move on lap 2 to take the lead from Berry as Trevor Ellingson raced hard for second place with Berry.Simons would soon see Shawn Whitman moving up the pack and as a lap 10 caution waved it was Simon,Ellingson and Whitman battling along with Berry. On the restart,Whitman shot from his outside spot and overtook leader Simon on lap11 to become the 3rd diferent leader.Looking for his first ever feature win,Whitman would lead until the final lap when both Simon and Ellingson got around the leader as Simon took win number 2 as Ellingson in his ford followed with Whitman.early leader Berry and a fast moving Bill Webster to complete the top 5 runners

.The Pure Stocks have been really having some close races all season and current point leader Rob White took advantage on the start from his second row starting position to lead the opening laps as lady driver Stacye Francis and Tyler Schoen were battling.Defending track champion Matt Young who started at the rear tonight was picking his way forward and on lap 6 move into second place.young was attempting to gain more ground on the leader White when the caution waved on lap 11.White would have Young and Schoen looking to take the lead, but in the race between them for second place,White was able to pull away as Schoen,Young,Jim Alexstates and S Francis rounded out the top 5 finishers,

Mark Simon got back in winning form in the Street Stock division as he got the opening jump on rookie Brandon Henderson and survived a late race caution attempt from Joe Francis to take another win.Francis would hold off a challange from Karla Lampe to take home the runner-up spot as Lampe,Henderson and Matt Darnell following.

Current Midwest Modified point leader Sam Petty also got back in the winners circle by taking the opening lead on lap 1 ans then holding off points runner-up Travis Hill to take the winning honors.Mark Davis recovered from an earlier spin to bring it home third while last weks winner Billy Pearce and Earl Muilenburg completed the top 5.
