The MARS DIRTcar Series and the top drivers from the UMP DIRTcar Series will go head to head in what’s being billed as the Tri-State Challenge. $13,000 is up for grabs this weekend May 31 – June 2, 2012 and will begin at Highland Speedway in Highland, IL; continue on to Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, KY and then wrap up at Federated Auto Parts Raceway in Pevely, MO.
Highland Speedway will pay $3,000 to win and $400 to start, while Paducah International Raceway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway will each pay $5,000 to win and $400 to start. All three races will have group qualifying / time trials to set the heat races. Tire rule is Front tires Hoosier LM-20, Hoosier LM-40 or WRS-55 ONLY. Rear tires Hoosier LM-40 and WRS-55 ONLY.
Highland Speedway in Highland, IL is a one-quarter mile, semi-banked clay oval located on the Madison County Fairgrounds. Support classes include Modifieds, SportMods, & Bombers. Pits Open at 3:00pm, Grandstands Open at 5:30pm, Pill Draw by 5:45pm, Drivers Meeting at 5:45pm, Hot Laps at 6:00pm, Racing Starts at 6:30pm. Paducah International Raceway, located in Paducah, KY will host night two of the Tri-State Challenge. Pit Gates open at 4:00pm. Grandstands open at 5:00pm. Hot Laps are at 7:00pm, and racing starts at 7:30pm. For support class and pricing please visit the track website at www.paducahracing.com.
The final race will be at the newly named Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (formerly I-55Raceway) in Pevely, MO. The track, known for its lightening quick side by side racing, is a high banked 1/3 mile dirt oval. Pit gates open at 4pm, grandstands open at 5pm. Racing at 7pm.
