(LEBANON, Mo.) A 30-lap feature race by the visiting stock car replica Pro National Baby Grand series highlights another exciting ‘Kickin’ Asphalt’ program at Lebanon I-44 Speedway this Saturday night, June 2. Spectator gates open up at 5:00 p.m., with Baby Grand and a full five-division ASA stock car racing program scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Missouri’s only asphalt oval.
“We’re pleased to bring this additional event to our race fans at no additional cost to them,” said I-44 Speedway Promoter Craig Armstrong. “This will be one of two visits from the Baby Grand this season and they’ll surely put on a show for our loyal fans with no extra hit to their wallets. In addition, our ‘Kickin’ Asphalt’ show was stronger than ever last weekend and Saturday night’s extended program will satisfy everybody’s racing fix.”
The ASA-sanctioned stock car racing program, highlighted by the O’Reilly Auto Parts ASA Late Models, returns after a wild weekend of heart stopping finishes to round out the Saturday racing show at the 3/8-mile high banked speed plant. Also on tap will be the Budweiser Modifieds in their return from a brief one week hiatus as well as the Hardee’s Sportsman, Hoosier Tire Road Warriors, and entry-level Coca-Cola Chargers.
Lebanon I-44 Speedway offers an alcohol-free grandstand, featuring aluminum seating with seat-backs, along with tier parking for cars, pickup trucks and RV’s where patrons may park, tailgate and view the races. Known amongst I-44 race fans as the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’, beer may be brought in by fans to the tier parking areas, while full food and non-alcoholic beverage concessions are available in both the grandstands and tier parking, along with a souvenir and track apparel stand.
According to Armstrong, regular admission prices will not be raised for Saturday night’s extended ‘Kickin’ Asphalt’ program, and will remain $10 for Adults, ages 16 and older, in the grandstands while Adult admission on the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ will stay just $15. Discounted admission for Seniors (ages 65 and older) and Juniors (ages 11-15) and Military personnel is offered in both locations, and Children ages 10 and younger will be admitted free. A grandstand Family Pass for 2 Adults and 2 Juniors plus any number of Children ages 10 and younger is available for $25, while six Adults entering in the same vehicle on tier parking will be admitted to the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ for $75.
“With a free extra race in addition to a full weekly slate, fans are the real winners here,” said Armstrong. “By leaving our prices at the same traditional rates, we’re giving our fans the best bang for their buck at the only asphalt oval in Missouri. This allows those families that may be on the fence to choose I-44 Speedway as their source of entertainment this Saturday night.”
Lebanon I-44 Speedway is located four miles east of the Lebanon city limit on Historic Route 66. Patrons using Interstate 44 may take Exit 135, and then drive one mile east on Route 66 to the track’s main entrance.
