(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail to the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on May 25-26 for the 20th Annual ‘DART Show-Me 100.’ Dennis Erb, Jr. laid down the twelfth quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session on Friday night and later finished second in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row on Saturday in the $30,000 to win ‘Show-Me 100,’ Dennis had a sterling run and got up to as high as second in the running order. At the end of 100 green flag racing laps, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace found himself in the third spot behind only winner Jimmy Owens and runner-up John Blankenship.
On Sunday, the #28 team hit the UMP-sanctioned ‘Budweiser 50′ at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois to close out their Memorial Day holiday weekend. Dennis timed in third fastest in his group during qualifying, ran fourth in his heat race, and later started the $10,000 to win A-Main from the outside of the eighth row. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take the #28 team to the states of Tennessee and Kentucky over the upcoming June 1-2 weekend. On Friday night, the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee will play host to a $10,000 to win battle, while the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky will do the same on Saturday evening. Dennis will come into the rare trips to Tazewell and Florence tied for seventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings.
