Quincy RacewaysDewayne Kiefer, Dave Wietholder, Abe Huls, Joe Bliven, Tanner Klingele and Robert Thompson Jr. all took feature event wins at Quincy Raceways during Ursa Farmers Coop Night at the Races on Sunday June 17.

Kiefer had quite a night for himself as he made it a clean sweep of his heat, dash and the 30 lap UMP Super Late Model main event. Kiefer started the main event from the front row pole position with Mark Burgtorf on his outside which made it look like it might just be a battle royal to the checkered flag and it was just that until Burgtorf pulled off the track with mechanical issues on the fourth circuit. Kiefer pulled to a comfortable lead until encountering slower traffic late in the event allowing Justin Reed to move within striking distance. Reed pulled up to Kiefer’s rear bumper on the twenty eighth lap but slid high in turn four giving Kiefer the breathing room he needed to capture his first feature event win at the Broadway Bullring. Reed settled for second followed by Jason Perry in third, Clint Kirkham in fourth and Jake Griffin in fifth. Burgtorf took the second heat win.

The Miller Lite UMP Modified main event was a wild affair with Steven DeLonjay grabbing the lead on the second circuit and looking like he had things under control but a caution flag on lap eleven setup a restart with Michael Long in the second spot. Long took over the lead on lap fourteen and held on until another yellow flag brought about another restart on lap nineteen. Long slipped high in retaking the green flag coming off turn four and encountered problems going into turn one setting off a chain of events that eliminated several cars from the event. Dave Wietholder then took over and held off DeLonjay to the checkered flag at lap twenty five. Derrick Carlson scored third followed by Jake Griffin in fourth and Terry James in fifth.Shawn Deering, DeLonjay and Ryan Blakeman were the heat race winners.

Abe Huls took the lead in the IMCA Stock Car main event from Terry Houston on the seventh lap and went on to score his sixth feature win of the year. Houston settled for second followed by Ty Hill in third, Michael Larsen in fourth and Jerry Jansen in fifth. Larsen took the heat race win.

The Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA SportMod main event was truly a sight to behold as Joe Bliven held off Tony Dunker to grab his first feature win of the year. Dunker settled for the second spot followed by Jim Gillenwater in third, Vance Wilson in fourth and Bobby Anders in fifth. Gillenwater and Wilson were the heat race winners.

Tanner Klingele took his second feature win of the year in the Quincy Hobby Stock division after a hard fought battle with Brandon Symmonds and Jake Powers. Klingele held off Powers at he checkered flag with Symmonds in third, Nathan Anders in fourth and Jeff DeLonjay in fifth. Brian Hoener and Powers were the heat race winners.

Robert Thompson Jr. scored his first feature win of the year in the IMCA Sport Compact main event after surviving way too many caution flags. Seith Woodruff scored the second spot followed by Chuck Fullenkamp in third, Andrew Davis in fourth and Bryce Baker in fifth. Fullenkamp and Brandon Lambert were the heat race winners.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways on Sunday June 24 will be Albertson Auto Body Night at the Races. Pit Gates open at 3:30, Grandstands at 5:00, Driver’s Registration ends at 5:30, Hot Laps at 5:45 and Racing at 6:30pm.
