DIRTcar Summer Nationals(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team is currently putting the finishing touches on their #21 Victory Circle by Moyer car in preparation for the next event on their 2012 schedule. Billy Moyer will sling dirt tomorrow night at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The grueling UMP Summer Nationals tour will roll into the St. Louis area venue on Friday, June 22 and a $10,000 top prize will be on the line. Additional information on stop nine of the “Hell Tour” can be accessed by logging onto www.tricityspeedway.net.

Billy and the #21 team were busy last week, as they started out the UMP Summer Nationals schedule by competing in the first four programs in the states of Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. The Batesville, Arkansas driver sported a strong racecar in each of the four shows, as he was able to accumulate a trio of Top Five finishes and an additional Top Ten performance. As fast as Billy was last week, it paled in comparison to his son, Billy Moyer, Jr., who captured three victories in the first four “Hell Tour” events.

“Mr. Smooth” started off the UMP Summer Nationals slate by racking up a pair of third place efforts on Wednesday and Thursday in $5,000 to win series races at the Brownstown (IN) Speedway and the Kankakee County (IL) Speedway. The annual ‘Masters’ weekend was then on tap on June 15-16 at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Billy claimed a fourth place finish in Friday’s $5,000 to win opener, while he found himself in the ninth spot in the final rundown of the $10,000 to win ‘Masters’ finale on Saturday evening. You can read a detailed race-by-race recap from last week by logging onto www.billymoyer.com.
