Lebanon MidwayBoth Brian Schutt and Brian Webster were able to take the lead with only 2 laps remaining to grab feature wins in the Factory Stock and B-Modified classes Saturday night as racing action continued at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon on the dirt track oval.

The Factory Stock feature had points runner-up Bob Gustin take the opening lead from point leader Tim Petty at the start as Petty,Doug Rich and Dylan Keepper followed close behind. The action slowed on lap 3 as Petty went around sending him to the rear of the line.Gustin again took the lead on the restart with Keepper following.Doug Rich took the second spot the following lap as last row starting Brian Schutt slowly made his way to the front runners.During the long green flag run, Schutt closed the gap between the leader Gustin and his car. With only 2 laps left,Schutt made the winning pass around Gustin as Rich followed.Schutt withstood the last lap efforts from Rich to take his 4th feature win of the season with Rich, early leader Gustin, point leader Petty and Brandon Waters completed the front 5.
Brian Webster arrived at the track late Newcomer Ryan Stacye took the opening spot from DeWayne Hobbs at the start with point leader Ballinger following close. On the 3rd circuit, Ballinger moved around Stacye to take the lead.Webster starting in the 5th row, was moving up the leader board and into third place by lap 5.

After a very tight race, Webster got around Stacye on lap 9 and gave chase to Ballinger.Webster closed the gap and with only 2 laps remaining made the winning move to secure his second win of the season as Ballinger held off Stacye for the runner-up position with Stacye, a fast moving Hobbs and Brian Myers at the stripe.
Current Pure Stock point leader Rob White wasted very little time in taking the number 1 spot on lap 2 and held off a strong run late from Monk Barker in taking his 7th feature win of the season.Bo Alexstates got the opening lead from the front row as White came from row 4 on his charge forward. Defending champion Matt Young tucked behind White and stayed close during the middle part of the feature event. On lap 13,Young began to slow up as Monk Barker got around both Young and Alexstates while rookie Caleb Starnes rallied from mid pack to following in the third place position as Young fell back to fourth place. Lady driver Stacye Francis recovered from an early spin to charge into a top 5 spot.

Midwest Modified point leader Sam Petty got around early leader Billy Pearce on lap 6 and never looked back in taking his 9th feature points win of the season.Bennie Joiner took the opening lead from Travis Hill only to see Joiner,Hill,Jamie Petty and Keith Cheever all get together as Pety went to the pits and returned to the rear of the field.Pearce with 1 win already this season took over the lead as Jamie Petty and Chris Cheever followed. On lap 5 C Cheever and Joiner both spun as Jamie Petty got into the duo. This allowed Sam Petty to start behind leader Pearce and the next lap grabbed the lead and never looked back.Pearce gave way to Joiner with only 4 laps remaining to bring home the runner-up position as Pearce followed.

Even tough the field was small in the Street Stocks, it was bumper to bumper racing all night long.Defending track champion Joe Francis took the opening spot with Mark Simon right on his bumper. The duo went back and fourth all 15 laps while Melvin Smith was looking for running room around the duo. Francis would hold off Simon’s repeated attempts in taking his 2nd win of the season as Simon tried hard to get around the leader and held to take hom second place honors while Smith and Brandon Henderson followed.

Action continues Saturday night June 30th as the Speedway will hold the Special Fireworks show during intermission Saturday night along with racing action in the Factory Stocks,B-Modifieds,Pure Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks for a night of family fun.
