Longview, Texas (07/03/12) – While Morgan Bagley didn’t have the weekend that he had hoped to have at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) during the 6th Annual Firecracker 100, he did end his weekend by piloting his #14m P&W Sales/Rocket By R.E. Consulting/Clements Super Late Model to the $3,000 win in the Uncle Sam’s 30.

After a three week break the team resumed the 2012 campaign on Thursday night with the opening round of the 6th Annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania). Fifty-six cars entered the $6,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event, and in time trials Bagley would only be able to manage the 48th fastest time, which left him starting eighth in the sixth heat race. He would fail to make up much ground in his heat race and b-main, which brought his night to an early end.

On Friday evening Morgan entered his second career event at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) as another $6,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event was held at the 1/2 mile oval. For the second straight night Bagley would spend the duration of the night trying to get a handle on the big oval. After qualifying thirty-seventh fastest in the field he started seventh in the first heat race. He would be unable to reach a transfer spot from heat race and b-main action as his night again came to an early end.

On Saturday night the third and final leg of the 6th Annual Firecracker 100 was held at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) as a $30,000 winner’s check was posted. With heat race line-ups being determined by a driver’s best finish in Thursday and Friday’s programs, Morgan found himself starting deep in a heat race grid. With the top five cars moving onto the feature he finished seventh in his heat race, which relegated him to a b-main. In the b-main he would again finish in the seventh position, preventing him from qualifying for the feature event.

However, even though he wasn’t eligible for the main event, he did transfer to the $3,000-to-win, Uncle Sam’s 30, which was held for non-qualifiers. He would salvage the weekend by bolting to the lead in the 30 lap event and going on to claim the victory over Boom Briggs, Corey Conley, John Mason, and John Lobb. The victory was his third of the 2012 campaign.

“Even though it was just the non-qualifiers race I was really excited to get a win at Lernerville. That place was different than anything I’ve seen, and it was a tough field of competitors every night. It took all weekend for me to figure that place out, but I’m excited to go back again next year,” commented Bagley

Full results from the weekend are available at www.WoOLMS.com.

Morgan entered his first career, UMP DIRTCar Summernationals event on Monday night as he took part in a $5,000-to-win event at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois). Forty-one competitors entered the event, and after finishing third in his heat race Bagley locked into the tenth starting spot for the 40 lap feature on the 1/4 mile oval. With thunderstorms in the area track staff would not get to perform, scheduled track prep, and as a result the surface locked down early in the event, making passing difficult. Bagley would maintain his position as he recorded a tenth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.TheHellTour.com.

The team has another busy week scheduled as they continue to work their way across the country.

Morgan’s upcoming schedule includes the following dates:

July 3rd: UMP Summernationals: Jacksonville Raceway (Jacksonville, IL) $5k-To-Win:
July 4th: UMP Summernationals: La Salle Speedway (La Salle, IL) $5k-To-Win
