Mark Burgtorf, Michael Long, Abe Huls, Tony Dunker, Jake Powers and Pat “Skippy” Dunker all took feature event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday July 29 during Summy Tire andAutoCenterand Mark Twain Casino Fan Appreciation Night at the Races.

Dustin Griffin jumped into the early lead of the thirty lap UMP Late Model main event from his outside row one starting spot and held Mark Burgtorf at bay for the first eleven circuits but Burgtorf slipped past on lap twelve to take over the top spot. Griffin then faded back with Jerry Lierly powering his way into the second position on lap fifteen and proceeded to slowly reel in Burgtorf getting as close as a car length but as the laps wound down he faded back to a little over two seconds behind Burgtorf and the checkered flag. Following Lierly in third was Billy Genenbacher in third, Justin Reed in fourth and Robbie Warner in fifth.Griffinand Jim Moon were the heat race winners with Burgtorf scoring the checkered flag in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Dash.

Jared Schlipman took the early lead in the Miller Lite UMP Modified main event but an error in turn four on the sixth lap gave Michael Long all he needed to slide into the top spot. Long then managed to weather several caution periods to score his third feature win of the weekend with Steven DeLonjay in second, Schlipman in third, Craig Spegal in fourth and Russ Coultas in fifth. Schlipman, Long and Jake Griffin were the heat race winners.

Abe Huls took yet another IMCA Stock Car main event win over Michael Larsen in second, Terry Houston in third, Jerry Jansen in fourth and Darin  Weisinger in fifth. Larsen scored the heat race checkers.

Joe Bliven look like he had the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMod feature event win in the bag but when he slipped up during the final corner going to the checkered flag, Tony Dunker was able to capitalize and grab the win away. Bliven settled for second followed by Rick Barlow in third, Tanner Klingele in fourth and Brad Holtmeyer in fifth. Bobby Anders and Dunker were the heat race winners. Jack Evans, Richie Uppinghouse, Cullen Thompson and Charles VanZandt got the $50 bonuses paid by Dunker Concrete.

Jake Powers took the win in a wild and crazy Quincy Hobby Stock main event as only three drivers were able to finish the race at the checkered flag. Jamie Bevill scored second followed by Justin Bartz in third, Justin Bevill in fourth and Brandon Symmonds in fifth. Powers and Tanner Klingele took the heat race wins.

Pat Dunker was not going to let his brother Tony have all the fun for the race night as he scored his first ever IMCA Sport Compact feature event win. Dunker led for laps three through eight but Robert Thompson Jr. got past for the lead on lap nine but as the white flag was given on lap eleven, Thompson had problems giving the lead and the feature event win back to Dunker. The second spot went to Austen Becerra followed by Kimberly Abbott in third, Casey Lambert in fourth and Jason Stucker in fifth. Bercerra and Abbott were the heat race winners.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways on Sunday August 5 will be Miller Lite Mississippi Belle Distributing Night at the Races. Pit Gates open at 3:30, Grandstands at 5:00, Drivers Registration ends at 5:30, Hot Laps at 5:45 and Racing at 6:30pm. Adults are $10, Seniors $7, Students 11-15 are $5 and Kids 10 and Under are Free as always at Quincy Raceways.
