World of Outlaws Late Model Series(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) The “Silver Shark” Scott James debuted a new Rocket Chassis on Saturday night, July 28 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. Scott broke a shock during his heat race, which dropped him back to an eighth place prelim finish. After starting the $1,500 to win main event from the tail end of the field, Scott zigged and zagged all the way up to the fourth position in the 30-lapper. Unfortunately, a sealed-over tire late in the race would slow his charge to the front and instead knocked him back to a fifth place effort behind winner Robby Hensley, Andrew Reaume, Josh Williams, and Chad Smith. Full results from Florence can be accessed online at www.florencespeedway.com.

With Jason Riggs and Kevin Cole opting to take another weekend off from dirt-slinging action, Scott James will be the lone Riggs Motorsports driver in competition. Scott will trek north to the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from August 2-4 for the 25th Annual ‘USA Nationals.’ The huge weekend at CLS will start tonight with a $5,000 to win Corn Belt Clash tune-up race. Action will really heat up on Friday and Saturday, as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presides over the $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals.’ Preliminary events will take place on Friday night, while the 100-lap main event will headline the weekend on Saturday evening.

Scott won in his last visit to Cedar Lake in June 2011, as he picked up the $5,000 payday in a UMP Summer Nationals battle. Fans can watch all of the exciting wheel-to-wheel action live at Cedar Lake by viewing the PPV broadcast on www.dirtondirt.com.
