World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at a Glance; 52nd annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals

World of Outlaws Sprint Car SeriesKNOXVILLE, Iowa – Aug. 6, 2012 – The biggest weekend of the season is finally here as all eyes in the sprint car world shift to Knoxville Raceway.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series four-day, 52nd annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals begins on Wednesday and culminates with the $150,000-to-win main event at the famed half mile on Saturday.

Tony Stewart Racing teammates and World of Outlaws veterans Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz have combined to win 17 titles, with Kinser claiming an event-best 12 wins and Schatz winning in five of the last six years.

Fellow Outlaws Sammy Swindell and Kraig Kinser have also picked up a Goodyear Knoxville Nationals victory.

WHEN

Wednesday through Saturday, Aug. 8-11, at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, for the 52nd annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals. The front gate is scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. with racing around 7:15 p.m.
