(WHEATLAND, MISSOURI) August 19th, 2012 – Buffalo Prairie Dental Fan Appreciation Night at Lucas Oil Speedway, put a new winner in Victory Lane. TNT Quick Shop presented $500 to Kenny Carroll of Camdenton, Missouri in the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks in his first win of 2012. In an exciting Pitts Homes USRA Modified Feature, Johnny Allen from Chanute, Kansas, held off a charging Jason Hughes from West Plains, Missouri for the win. The ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Model win, went to Tommy Cordray from Browning, Missouri. In the DJ’s RV B-Modifieds, Kris Jackson from Lebanon, Missouri repeated in Victory Lane.

Jackson’s win in the DJ’s RV B-Modifieds places him comfortably in the lead for the Season Championship Points Title. Next Saturday, Track Champions will be crowned in each of the Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series classes. Jackson was followed to the checkers by Jeff Miller of Hermitage, Missouri. Kenny Pike form Nevada, Missouri and Colt Pruente from Vernona, Missouri were third and forth respectively. Wesley Long from Greenfield, MO rounded out the top five.

Next out on the Diamond of Dirt tracks, the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models Tommy Cordray was able to hold his line and remain the leader for the checkers, just ahead of Jason Russell from Henley, Missouri. Cordray appeared in Victory Lane early this spring and has had continual top five finishes all season long. Cordray dedicated his win to his family who joined him in Victory Lane. Jeremy Kelly from Walnut Grove, Missouri finished third with Kevin Coyne from Kingsville, Missouri, fourth. Joe Walkenhorst from Lee’s Summit, Missouri was fifth.

In one of the most exciting features of the night, Johnny Allen fought to hold on to the top position, as a stout field of challengers made him work for win. The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds brought out some of the best drivers in the area. Allen picked up the win over Jason Hughes. Hughes started in seventh and worked through the lead pack to challenge for the lead. Hughes finished second followed by Jason Russell. Jeff Cutshaw from Cross Timbers, Missouri was forth and the young gun, Paden Phillips from Chanute, Kansas completed the top five.

TNT Quick Shop located just 8 miles north of Lucas Oil Speedway on Highway 83, sponsored the $500 to Win Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stock feature. Kenny Carroll picked up the cash in his first win of 2012. Carroll was the Track Champion in 2009 and was out in a new car by Josh Franklin for the third time this year. Carroll’s win came on his birthday. John Coats from Joplin, Missouri lead several laps of the feature after passing Burl Woods. Coats settled for second with Woods from Republic, Missouri taking the third spot. Marc Carter from Warrensburg, Missouri was forth with Brian Schutt from Lebanon, Missouri in fifth.

Fans enjoyed great racing all night long as mother nature threatened, but did not stop the show. Buffalo Prairie Dental greeted guests as they arrived with free items and balloons for the kids. Next week the Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series wraps up for 2012 with the crowning of Track Champions in each of the four weekly racing classes. Don’t miss the finale event! Gates will open at 5 PM, Hot Laps at 7 PM with Racing at 7:30 PM. Even though the Weekly Racing Series will wrap up on August 25th there is still plenty of racing left at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks. Labor Day Weekend (August 31st-September 2nd), will host the much anticipated 2nd Annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals on Lake Lucas and the last appearance of the Lucas Oil MLRA on the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for 2012. September 15th the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League will bring the bad boys of the series to Wheatland, Missouri for a fan favorite, Truck and Tractor Pulls.
