Eldora Speedway(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer and his #55 Iron Motorsports team made their yearly ‘World 100’ voyage on September 7-8 to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Mother Nature took the win on Friday night and condensed the show into a one-day program on Saturday. During the one-round qualifying session on Saturday afternoon, Jeep timed in sixty-third quickest of the 123 entrants, which left him some work to do when the heat races rolled off later that night.

The Pinconning, Michigan standout was up to the challenge in his prelim, as he drove his #55 Rocket entry to a third place finish, which transferred him directly into the $50,000 to win ‘World 100.’ Jeep then started fifteenth on the grid in the 100-lapper, but ran into problems early in the race. He wound up retiring after only 40 circuits due to overheating issues and finished in the twenty-fifth position. Full results from the 42nd Annual ‘World 100’ can be obtained by clicking on www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Following Eldora, the Iron Motorsports team will take the upcoming September 14-15 weekend off to prepare for the ‘Keyser Manufacturing Down & Dirty 100.’ The historic asphalt of the Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan has been replaced with over 7,500 yards of clay for an epic World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown on September 21-22. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for that Friday, while the consolation events and the $20,000 to win ‘Down & Dirty 100’ are slated for Saturday.
