Brian Shirley, Steven DeLonjay, Michael Larsen, Tony Dunker, Justin Bevill and Austen Bercerra all took feature event wins during the Sullivan Auctioneers Tom Boland Ford Night at the Races on Sunday September 23 at Quincy Raceways.

Jake Griffin held the pole position for the start of the thirty lap UMP Super Late Model feature event and held onto the lead for the first ten circuits but Brian Shirley made some nifty moves on the cushion to take over the lead on lap eleven. Shirley then held youngGriffinat bay for the rest of the race to claim the feature win withGriffinin second, Dustin Griffin in third, Michael Long in fourth and Jim Moon in fifth. Jake Griffin laid claim to the Summy Tire and Auto Center Fast Six Dash win with Denny Woodworth taking the heat race win.

Steven DeLonjay is still on a roll after sewing up the 2012 Miller Lite UMP Modified track title. DeLonjay took off from his pole starting spot and held back Jake Griffin and David Wietholder through several restarts to take the feature event win. Jake settled for second followed by Wietholder in third, Jared Schlipman in fourth and Mark Burgtorf in fifth. DeLonjay scored the Fast Six Dash win with Troy Grotz andDannyLaketaking the heat race wins.

Michael Larsen held back a determined Abe Huls to claim his second feature win of the season in the IMCA Stock Car main event. Larsen jumped into the lead at the drop of the green flag and pulled off the win over Huls in second, Darin Weisinger in third, Jerry Jansen in fourth and Jim Powell in fifth. Terry Houston took the heat race win.

Tony Dunker only led two laps of the Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMod feature event but they were the most important ones as they were the last two circuits. Joe Bliven settled for second followed by Tom Elsen in third, Brandon Dale in fourth and Bobby Anders Jr. in fifth. Dunker and Bobby Anders were the heat race winners.

Justin Bevill scored his first ever feature event win at Quincy Raceways in the Quincy Hobby Stock main event after taking the lead on the fifth lap. Bevill survived several challenges from Brian Hoener throughout the event to score the win with Hoener in second, Tanner Klingele in third, Nathan Hayes in fourth and Brandon Symmonds in fifth. Rich Wagy and Hoener were the heat race winners.

Austen Bercerra scored the feature event win in the IMCA Sport Compact division after a hard fought duel with second place finisher Seith Woodruff. The third spot went to Laine VanZandt, fourth to Dennis Schulte and fifth to Kimberly Abbott. Bercerra and Abbott were the heat race victors.

Coming up next at Quincy Raceways will be the final event of the 2012 race season with the 2012 Final HooRah. The UMP Super Late Models and Miller Lite UMP Modifieds are still battling it out for State, Region and National Points for this the final event for the 2012 UMP Point Season. The IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Northern SportMods, Quincy Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts will be racing in Cheaters Night where anything is legal for this event, as only safety rules will be required to be meet. The Pit Gates open at 2:30, Grandstands at 4:00, Driver Registration Ends at 4:30, Hot Laps and Qualifying at 4:45 and Racing at 5:30pm.
