(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Jason Riggs, of Harrisburg, Illinois, returned to Dirt Late Model competition from September 20-22 at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. A trio of UMP DIRTcar Series events were held at the St. Louis area venue and a $2,000 top prize was up for grabs each night. Jason was solid all weekend long, as he accumulated a pair of top ten performances.
On Thursday night, Jason ran fourth in his heat race and later wound up ninth in the feature event. At Granite City on Friday evening, Jason finished fifth in his heat race, third in his B-Main, and twentieth in the final rundown of the main event. In Saturday’s weekend finale, the driver of the #81jr Rocket ran third in his heat race prior to posting a strong seventh place effort in the A-Main. Next up for Jason and the Riggs Motorsports team will be a trip to the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky on Friday night, September 28.
