World of Outlaws Late Model SeriesVicksburg, MS (10/04/12) – Bub McCool was notified earlier this week that with just a few events remaining on the tour he has already clinched the 2012 World of Outlaws (WoO) Rookie of the Year title.

It’s been a successful rookie campaign for McCool, who has stayed in the top ten in points for the entire season, and even raced to the biggest win of his career with the tour in March at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee), when he claimed a $10,000 victory.

“It’s an honor to win rookie of the year with the Outlaws. This is a tough tour, but it’s really made up of a lot of good people, who are always willing to help you in any way that they can. I’ve learned a lot this year, and I look forward to hitting the road with the tour again next year,” commented McCool.

Last weekend, Bub piloted Chad Stapleton’s #32 Barry Wright/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model in the 9th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals at the state-of-the-art, Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa). With a talented field of 80 competitors on hand McCool finished eleventh in both Thursday and Friday’s $7,000-to-win, preliminary features, and closed out the weekend with a 16th place finish in the $40,000-to-win finale. Full results are available at www.LucasDirt.com .

This week is a busy time for the team as Thursday night, October 4th will find him debuting his special Halloween wrap on his #57J McCool Logging/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park (Elbridge, New York) in a $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws event. On Friday morning he will jump on a plane to Mississippi, where he will look to defend his title in the 6th Annual Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi). Bub will be behind the wheel of a team car to Klint Byars in the event, which is sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) and boasts a $7,500-to-win/$700-to-start purse for the two day event. For more information on the events, please visit www.WoOLMS.com and www.GreenvilleSpeedway.net .

While Bub’s normal ride may not be at Greenville Speedway this weekend his souvenir trailer will be, and it is stocked with all-new merchandise including the brand-new Halloween shirts as well as the brand-new iPhone cases. All of these items can be viewed on the Apparel page at www.BubMcCool.com . If you can’t make it to an event, where the McCool Motorsports souvenir trailer will be on hand, you can also file orders via the website.

Bub and everyone at McCool Motorsports would like to thank all of their sponsors, which include Southern Belle, McCool Logging, Jay Dickens Racing Engines, Henderson Motorsports, Hoosier Race Tires, Eibach Springs, Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer, Good Hope Lumber, Boland Performance, Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants, New Vision Graphics, & MSRMafia.com Marketing Services.
