Excitement Building for Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship, Live Concert and More Sponsors Added

Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesWaycross, GA (October 9, 2012) – The excitement is building for what is expected to be one of the biggest dirt late model events of the year. The 32nd Annual Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship featuring Borrowed Blue will take place at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 18th, 19th and 20th. This year’s event will have the largest purse in the history of the event with over $200,000 up for grabs during the three day weekend. Not only will the winner of the prestigious trophy take home a cool $50,000 and the feature event paying $2,000 to start, there also is a Non-qualifiers race paying $3,000 to the winner and an open wheel modified feature event paying $3,000 to the winner.

Several companies have come on board to partner with the LOLMDS and Carl Short to help make the DTWC one of the biggest events of the year. In addition to Red Buck sponsoring the Fast Time Award and paying $100 to the fastest qualifier, Michael Rigsby and his company Dirt on Dirt.com has agreed to sponsor the fast time award also and pay an additional $1,000 to the driver that sets the fastest lap in qualifying. A large staff of folks from Dirtondirt.com will be at the event covering everything as it happens providing fans and racers in depth stories and coverage of this year’s Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship featuring Borrowed Blue.

CV Products has signed on as the title sponsor of the Jim Dunn Memorial Non- Qualifiers race for racers that fail to transfer into the A-main on Saturday. The CV Products Jim Dunn Memorial Non-Qualifiers race also pays tribute to the late Jim Dunn and the legacy and history he left behind. This 30-lap event will pay $3,000 to the winner and $200 to start.

Sunoco Race Fuels has come on board as the title sponsor of the cut away car for the special technical segments during the SPEED broadcast of the event. Sunoco the official fuel of the LOLMDS continues to support the series and dirt late model racing and seen an opportunity to enhance their presence within the TV show. This year’s event will be the first time in the history of the DTWC that the event will air on television. The Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship will be filed in HD by the Lucas oil production studios and aired on SPEED on Sunday November 18th at 2PM EST.

Other sponsors of this years Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship featuring Borrowed Blue include; Arizona Sport Shirts, Gottarace.com, Hoosier Tire, Integra Shocks, Sports Plus Videos, 4M.net and C103 FM Country Music Station.

In addition to all the many companies partnering with this event, fans that attend the event will get to see a free concert by the band Borrowed Blue on Saturday at 5PM in front of the main grandstands. Borrowed Blue is an up and coming country/rock band from Kentucky, sponsored by Red Buck Entertainment, and just released its debut single entitled “Porch People”. As the title sponsor of the event, Red Buck is exposing this exciting new band to our industry in hopes of creating new fans and followers for Borrowed Blue. LOLMDS officials and Carl Short are also excited to announce that this year’s Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship, featuring Borrowed Blue will be taped by Lucas Oil Production Studios and will be shown on SPEED this year. This event is scheduled to air on Sunday November 18th at 2PM EST.

Fans wanting to camp at this year’s DTWC event can contact Portsmouth Raceway Park for more information about camp sites. Primitive camping (Dry no hook ups) will be $40. Campgrounds will start opening on Monday October 15th at 8AM. Registration will be open daily from 8AM till 4PM each day stating on Monday October 15th.
