Watertown, NY (November 14, 2012) Kennedy Motorsports driver and World of Outlaws Late Model Series regular Tim Fuller of Watertown, NY wrapped up his 2012 racing season at the Peak Motor Oil World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, NC with a Super DIRTcar Series win in the Smith Brothers Concrete Foundations sponsored #74 Big Block Modified.

Fuller stalked race leader and fellow World of Outlaws Late Model Series competitor Tim McCreadie for close to 20 laps before making a move for the lead on lap 28.  Once Fuller made his way around McCreadie he pulled away to earn his first Super DIRTcar Series win of 2012.  “When you know you’ve got the car that’s faster than the leader, you’re just looking for that time to pounce,” Fuller said in Victory Lane on Friday, November 2. “You want to get into lapped traffic and wait for it to hit. I found my time; it was in lapped traffic and I could roll through the middle and he couldn’t.”  Tim found trouble early during the Saturday, November 3 Super DIRTCar Series event but salvaged a 12th place finish after being involved in a lap one altercation that involved numerous cars.

Tim also competed with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series in his Kennedy Motorsports owned Core Construction, Kennedy Partners, B3 Architecture & Planning, IronCo Enterprises, Urban Energy Solutions, Capital Race Cars sponsored #19.  After qualifying mid-pack for both Friday and Saturday events, Fuller held off a hard charging Zack Dohm to win Friday nights ‘Last Chance Showdown’ to transfer to the main event. Fuller ran towards the middle of the field all night and finished in the 17th position.  Tim finished fifth in his heat race on Saturday but missed the set-up for the B-Main and failed to transfer to Saturday’s feature event.

‘We were really good when we were there (Charlotte) in October,’ Tim said from his shop in upstate New York, ‘but the track was totally different this time around and we were chasing the car the whole weekend. We thought we found something on Friday during the B-Main but I made the wrong tire choice for Saturday’s B-Main and we went backwards.’  Fuller continued to talk about his World Finals weekend, ‘I’m still learning this new car and I made the wrong choice, but there are definitely better days in front of us and I’m looking forward to getting 2013 started already.’

‘We’ll definitely be back with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series in 2013,’ Tim said about his 2013 plans. ‘I haven’t been this excited to start a new season in a long time. I have to thank John Kennedy and the entire Kennedy Motorsports team for this opportunity to drive their car. Working with (teammate) Shane (Clanton) and his guys has got our car heading in the right direction; it’s a shame this season had to come to an end. But we’ll go back to the shop, get everything cleaned up, regroup and head out to Arizona in January with a fresh start.’

Fuller will tentatively kick off his 2013 season at the Tucson International Raceway in Tucson, AZ for the ‘Winter Extreme’ mini-series which features six events that will span from January 12 through January 20, 2013.  Tim will then head to Georgia and Florida to start off the 2013 World of Outlaws Late Model Series campaign at Screven (GA) Motor Speedway for an $8,000 to-win event on Friday, February 8 and a $10,000 to-win event on Saturday, February 9. From there the series will travel to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL for the ‘Babba Army Late Model Nationals’ on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 15, 16, and 17.  The three events will pay $7,000, $10,000, and $20,000.  The GA/FL Speedweeks will wrap up after six straight nights at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL where Tim will also compete with the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds. The UNOH Florida DIRTcar Nationals, for the Late Models, start on Monday, February 18 and will come to a close on Saturday, February 23 after three $7,000 to-win UMP sanctioned events and three $10,000 to-win World of Outlaws events.
