The popular driver known as the “Tarheel Tiger” will jump behind the wheel of Joe Denby’s #27 machine to vie for the $6,000 top prize in the Super Late Model portion of the ‘Ice Bowl’ weekend. Ray will then drive his familiar #53 in hopes of picking up the $3,000 winner’s share in the Crate Late Model division. He is a multiple time winner of the ‘Ice Bowl,’ as he took the checkers at the track deemed as the “Hornets Nest” in 2009 and 2012.
